Honestly, I would prefer if they did away with the site wide list overall and focused just on the individual list and group videos. My ideal GOTY format would be get rid of the podcasts, have everybody's personal lists/guest list just as they do them every year, more group videos, and maybe going back to videos where one person shows off one of their favorite games of the year, like they did in the past(though I recognize that might be harder now with how many staff members there are now). On the more positive side I do like personalized category videos they are doing this year.
I can't wait for the giant open world and crafting fads to finally end, it's gone on for far too long now. I'm starting to view open world shooters like I view Dynasty Warriors games, I just need a small taste every 6 or 7 years and i'm good.
@senate4242: Luckily it's classified as a DLC so on the steam version you can simply uncheck whether it's installed or not before starting the game, same with the Half Life Crowbar skin too. Still super shitty of course, though.
I do hope Dan mess around with this thing for a bit more, I know it's early but from my own time with it I think it's a real worst game of the year contender.
It seems like they went with using Lego Worlds as a base for this game and then kind of molded it into a more traditional style Lego game. Though I didn't put that much time into worlds so maybe I'm wrong, the last game though, Lego DC Super Villains, definitely was a traditional standard style Lego game though.
