It's that Dead Island trailer but for a new generation. I kinda figured it would end up like this after they pulled it out of early access before release after the criticism of the difference in what the trailer showed and what it actually is. A kinda janky survival game(though I suppose janky is kinda inherent to the genre at this point) with a good style with some story stuff bolted on, pleasing neither crowd particularly well. The only shocking thing personally is the price tag, thought this would be like 30 dollars max.

I remember liking the look of the first game a lot but absolutely hating that game after spending only an hour or two with it. I can't quite remember why, but I'm starting to think it was a lot of the same issues Brad has with this one, which is a shame since it's got a fantastic look.

I enjoyed this one! I never got past the robot fight as a kid renting the game so it was interesting to see. I would like to see more!

Same, I think I must have spent like 4 hours trying to get past that robot part and just couldn't grasp it as an 7 year old kid.

Seeing the rhythm elements really makes me want to check this game out. Were the previous games like that?

All of the Bit Trip games were rhythm based, some more obviously so, some less. No idea if all of them got ports or if any are stuck on the sinking WiiWare shop.

i think more or less all of them are available on steam.

They all are...buuuuuuut some of them have some severe issues, enough to make the pc versions not worth playing unfortunately. I specifically remember Flux having game ruining lag and timing issues, I think one of the other ones might have the same problems but can't remember which. I know at least the Runner games work perfectly.

This seems like it would have been an okay 15 dollar XBLA game back in like 2011...but for 60 dollars in 2018 just....yeesh. It almost feels like the publisher knows the game is not good and just took the gamble on getting the most money out of the few people who will by it rather than trying to get more people at a lower price.

This seems like Mario Party but worse. Like they mentioned the Scribblenauts games aren't exactly known for their tight controls and the mini games doesn't seem to take advantage of the creativity aspect of Scribblenauts particularly well.

Seems a lot like another No Mans Sky situation, a neat tech demo that hasn't really been developed beyond that stage.

Does Kai incorporate the Bardock and History of Trunks specials into the series itself or do they just leave them out as their own things? It sounds like there was at least a clip of the Bardock one in the first episode.
