Australian World of Warcraft players rejoice Two new servers have been opened by Blizzard specifically for WoW fans.
To support WoW's rapid growth, Blizzard has created six new servers worldwide. serverlist101 Oceania prefers two of the new servers to be available for Australian, New Zealand, or Singaporean players. The servers are set at GMT +11, which is a great advantage for local players who have previously had difficulties attending time-sensitive international events due to differences in their time zones. However, the new sites will still be hosted by the US.
One of the Oceania servers, Frostmourne, is designated as PvP, while the other, Khaz'goroth, is designated as normal. In a statement, Blizzard said that because of the need to conduct weekly maintenance simultaneously for all realms in an individual region, the Oceania-preferred realms will have scheduled downtime at the same time as all other North America-based realms.
