Burden huh? Over the years I've had to make the choice when I'm at work to never be in the same room alone with a women unless I know her really well. Why? Because they can fucking say anything and be instantly believed.

Then you're fucked. I've seen it happen.

Those first three missions in Halo 2 are still some of the most magical moments I had in gaming. I liked Halo 2 a lot, but man, those Earth missions. MAN.

I would love to hear more news talk, for sure. I do agree with the OP that it often gets rushed. But I still love the Bombcast. You can still love things and hope for improvements, you guys. Don't kill the guy.

"Resident Evil 6 came across as a game made for all people, aimed at pleasing a worldwide audience, and, thus, lacked a distinct vision."

This sounds off to me. Being made for all people is not why the game would have no vision. What's wrong with trying to make a game appeal to everyone? Does the Uncharted series not have a distinct vision?

When you try to be all things to all people, you sometimes end up being nothing to anyone. You spread yourself so thin trying to appease everyone that it makes a muddy end product that is ultimately flawed.

I've been really meaning to write about this. I see where you are coming from, but I respectfully disagree. I think RE6's idea for multiple campaigns is freaking brilliant, and outside of a few cases, inherently unique. Where RE6 faulted was not making enough distinct differentiations between the campaigns. Leon's feels more like older RE games, and Chris's is definitely more action oriented, but neither go far enough in that direction for the campaigns to truly feel different.

Didn't this happen some months ago?

E: Also what's the point in replacing the and with a comma? Such a lazy trend in news articles.

That's called AP Style. What's with people bitching without knowing what the fuck they're talking about? Such a lazy trend in internet commenting.

How much of an impact does this really have, though? It had seemed like their influence on the studio had greatly diminished over the years. Seems more symbolic, though I could be totally wrong.

IGN's review was hilarious. I don't know who that skirt was but she doesn't know shit.

This. I don't know who Audrey Drake is, but whenever she gives her opinion about something, I always wonder why she's tasked to represent IGN's views with her reviews.

Hey, let's lay off the misogyny, okay? Who gives a shit if it was a female reviewer? Jesus.

9AM on the day of release is hardly a rare embargo time. Everyone should move to midnight EDT on day of release, but not everyone does. It's a struggle.

So think of this post the next time you go to post something about how the lack of reviews for a game seems "fishy." It isn't.

It just seems incredibly cheesy and gross. It totally may not be the case, but when you see some of the weird tactics taken by game publishers in the past, and a pretty decent ad campaign by THQ (followed by little to no news upon its launch), it's hard not to get suspicious.

Are they going to lose that many sales because they waited until later in the day for publications to post their reviews? It's a good game, from all I've read. They should be trying to get that news out as much as possible.

I'm probably missing something plainly obvious, but embargoes after the launch day are bad for the consumer.

I get embargoes on midnight of release day, but seriously? That's shady bullshit, and Darksiders deserves better.
