Really? That's odd. Here in North America there are separate cymbal add-on packages available in addition to a full-on drumkit. There is nothing of the sort over there as well? Maybe you can find a place online where you can import it.
I personally found VJ to be more generally humorous and entertaining (I presume it's because of their previous ER experience; from that, Vinny and Jeff have developed their synergy already as opposed to newcomers Ryan and Brad). There were, however, profound moments in the BR ER that VJ seemed to just shrug off (not to cite examples because of the fear of spoilers). All in all, they're both good in their own special way, but if I had to choose, I'd go with VJ.
It is definitely an unforgettable experience, for sure. I'd say you made the right call. Plus it's not like a full retail priced game, so I'm assuming you got it relatively cheap.
'Tis a shame. I don't see why Sony would be so paranoid about the whole thing. Then again, however, I'd suspect they're probably the most paranoid out of all the company giants right about now, what with all the hacking and the like.
