At this point I've owned the PS4 for 1 month. I just, well... It's okay. The UI has been really annoying to navigate. As well as the PlayStation store. I own PS Plus, I don't want to sift through 100000+ ads to buy more ps plus. I just want to see whats this months game and whats in the store. Black Flag and shadow fall played fine and looked great and I love the controller, but it's been unplugged for a while and the PS3 is back in it's spot. I have games that I want to finish there until probably drive club comes out.
I wonder what annoys you about navigating? I find it very simple and quick to use. The only things i would really change or add is more sorting tools and having custom options like backgrounds and color themes. Also 100000+ ad is very hyperbole. Sure PSN store has more ad splash pages but its not quite hard to get to games at all.
The few bad things i could say about the ps4 comes down to three things.
1 - It still needs fine tuning. Little things like notifications showing up more than once, download sorting, and more detail on whats downloading. Things like this need to be clean up, nothing major at the moment but these little things do add up.
2 - Losing features that are on the ps3. I don't understand MS or Sony thinking in leaving out features that was on the systems before.
3 - Add 1 & 2 with the fact that there is not really a huge game to say you need a ps4 right now. Which boils down to the ps4 not going to replace your ps3 proper quite yet.
I think everyone nailed it but it will come down to exclusives and if Microsoft have more than one that you would enjoy. If you are into halo, gears or anything else they are cooking up i say get both. But if titan fall is it, than i would not drop the money just to play that one game.
I'm not sure how Patrick and Alex talking about news takes away from the Bombcast guys talking about news.
yeah i agree with this, if not for them we would be seeing much less content. I give props to them for holding down the site when the other crew is busy.
I would not say perfect reboot, but i think its a nice starting point. I would love for actual tomb raiding to return. Also i would want a better story and making Lara a more interesting character.
My hard answer would be no. But there is no real reason that a beginner could not enjoy this game. The game can be a little tough but grinding will always be the answer. Also don't be afraid to try new classes and go all out in some battles.
I think you are a little worked up because half the things you listed are things the bomb crew are known to do. content been a little slower but its to be expected to some degree. My only issues is improving the site, It seems the site has lost so many cool features since the redesign.
Sounds like you gave him fine advise, but who knows how these systems will shape up down the road. Also i think i would have based it on the games he plays and what he had before.
@fredchuckdave: I think you are underselling voice work. We don't need bad voice acting for such a voice heavy game. I would not mind the production values move a little closer to 999 personally.
I don't think so. There is not as many funny bits to get the bomb crew interested to play this whole sale. Too much of a normal rpg for them to care for that long. But it a great game by the way but it won't be a good endurance run.
