Two Blogs are hard to write...

Oooo look at the pretty light....No Zack dont look! (ya this picture is random :P )

Its hard enough to find something to write about sometimes in my GS blog, much less entirely new information here. So lets see what I can come up with today...

Anyone going to be seeing Star Wars: The Clone Wars this weekend? I plan on going if I have time. I liked the animated cartoons on TV so Im hoping this will be good too. I cant tell if they have gotten the same voice actors from the cartoon and Ive been to lazy to research it. The actors werent bad...but not great. Maybe it was just poor dialog.

So a question...and probably a stupid one...but how do you post a youtube video in a forum or blog? I dont mean linking to the youtube page the video is on but actually putting the video player in the topic.

What are you guys opinion on adding content to the wiki? Ive heard some are complaining that once you get a certain amount of points you shouldnt be allowed to post pictures anymore or if a game already has some pictures they shouldnt add more. Why? If the person has something new to contribute, why cant they add the content they want to?

Some find it hard to write articles very well and it isnt right to demand that they stop contributing the way they are able to. Not to mention the fact that writing takes a lot longer than posting a picture. Many people dont have the time to write things. Also, what happens if the game a person knows the most about has already been covered very well? Is it right that they are not allowed to add new pictures that are currently not available for the game?

I dont understand. I enjoy doing both but other then the larger written content I added for Cloud, Dante and 2 Spyro games, Ive only had time to write some smaller blurps on a few games. And even that is probably more time then I should have spent writing because I should have been working on other things.

What do you think?

Ooh! A double blog,I see.
Since I am not much of a YouTube/video junkie, I can't tell for sure on how to put videos on this particular site. But,I think YouTube provides an "Embed" feature which allows you to paste the entire video viewer onto the page by entering the HTML code.

Adding wiki on this site is one of this site's best features, besides the uber-cool reviewers. Did you watch SCIV's video review on GB? I collapsed with laughter when Jeff said, the tagline of the vid review. LOL
I think people should have freedom to write articles or add images for a particular game. The only reason why few complain of thisĀ  is because adding images is an easier and a faster way to rack up points. Whereas writing is not only tedious but there is no guarantee it would be accepted by the moderators.

It doesn't matter whether people are adding images or writing articles, what matters is that they are contributing at least something to the site. You know something. It would be interesting to read an editorial from you on games someday. I am sure not many girls on these sites go for editorials. So,why not try one? It would definately help improve your writing skills.

And ending on a funny note here,I think all images should be allowed but DMC images SHOULD BE COMPLETELY BANNED!

I tried the embeded link but it isnt working in blogs...havent tried in forums.

I havent watched any reviews yet. Ill go check out the SCIV one though.

But you cant distiguish a person who is only adding content for points and someone who is doing it for the love of the game or character. For instance I couldnt care less about points, I only wanted to get to 1000 so I wouldnt have to go through the mods. That way when I write something, my time isnt wasted by someone else who posted information a few hours before me. All of the images I have posted were on my computer already and I wanted to share them with everyone. If I didnt have a love/interest for the game or character, I wouldnt have tons of screenshots, wallpapers (psp/desktop), ect that clog up my computer. Also I wouldnt bother to take my time to share them with everyone.

Maybe I just love images, but I always think that more is way better. As long as its not a duplicate of the same image. You never know what someone might be looking for or want. For example, when I want to make something like a wallpaper, header, banner, ect. I usually have an idea in mind. To have so many images in one place is nice. That way, for example, if I want to make one with a close up of Cloud. I have multiple options. Do I want a fighting shot, one from the movie, one from FFVII, Crisis Core ect.? I dont understand how some people can say one screenshot is more important than another. Someone might have been looking for one you personally dont like. A game cant be portrayed in only a handful of images in my opinion.

An editorial huh? ....hmmm interesting :D

LOL on the DMC line :P
