@Chaser324: Those that backed Jesh, which again were mostly family and friends, and understood it was just the cost to finish putting together this prototype, have all been contacted by us personally and taken care of. Each of them has been granted free rewards for Bad Dudes 2 as well.

We very personally left Jesh available. We wanted people to see it, we want people to know we've had hiccups before, honesty is very important to us.

@Chaser324: We've covered that a few times, hence our uphill battle. Jesh was a prototype that was funded mainly through family and friends via facebook. It was to give us a little bit of time to work on something, in the hopes of making a full game out of it later. Jesh isn't something we wanted to hide, we very easily could have, but we refused to hide it because it's part of our history, it's a speedbump on it, but it's better to ackowledge that and be 100% honest with any of our fans/supporters, than to hide a dirty past.

1,000 is nothing when it comes to games, it really just bought us some software, our team members couldn't work strictly as hobbiests anymore, and needed income. Until we could provide it, they remain on standby.

We have acknowledged our stumble out the gate ill-prepared with resources, and will be updating throughout the week, we have been constructing a minor alpha build demo to showcase some gameplay by the end of the week as well.

@MikkaQ: We plan on either depicting President Borama, or President Mint. Whichever happens to be in office.

@buft: Jesh was funded as a prototype, and literally we stopped working on it due to lack of funds. Our coders were not willing to work on a game for free, and that's why this time we made sure to do a Kickstarter that would 100% fund the entire project. Myself and Adam, another member of Pinstripe Games, have continued working on other things related to Jesh until this Bad Dudes opportunity presented itself.

You can expect 100% commitment. The sad thing is this project will take lots of money, but if we have it, our staff will do what they do best.

Also, I'm posting a link to a new piece of concept art here from the artist we brought in, hopefully this is more like it =)

@buft: Jesh isn't a secret, we've never hidden it and it's even listed right on our website.

The Jesh kickstarter was funded strictly through friends and family via Facebook. It was only to help us build a prototype, which we have built, and attempt to generate full funds afterwords. The opportunity with G-Mode presented itself, and we moved onto that. Jesh is still in development.

As far as the similarities, its because we only had one artist, and he only drew one art style. We've since fixed that.

@buft: We've already hired a new artist. We intended on doing a pixel art style from the beginning, but dismissed it for fear of it being called too "cliche". Oops, mistake. The new concept art is available on the kickstarter page, and we do have the licensing rights from G-Mode.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hey all, this is Joe from Pinstripe Games. I can answer a few of your questions in here. As far as not having alot of resources available before hand, that was a mistake on our part. We have a temporary license from G-Mode to produce the sequel, but there will be 30k in additional licensing fees to actually release the game to retail. We are also hiring on additional staff to help make this a phenomenal action game and not something that just lives off the joke, it's going to cost us nearly 40k to pay for software, hardware, and labor fees for the games 9 month total development time on our entire staff, and the rest of the money is a buffer for kickstarter fees and kickstarter rewards.

We didn't have any gameplay up ahead of time, which was a mistake, but we just couldn't afford it after the first batch of licensing costs. I'm not a coder, i'm a designer, and quality engineers don't work for free, and we refused anything but quality.

We have hired on a new artist for the game to replace the old art direction, his first piece of art is available on the kickstarter and facebook page, we will be updating it rapidly throughout the week, as well as showcasing first gameplay footage.

As someone suggested above, a huge part of our high cost is the licensing fees, it was not easy to get. And even though Pinstripe hasn't released a game yet, I assure you our engineers are very talented, ranging from 6 to 8 years industry experience apiece.

The other comment about just taking the time and doing this in our free time. Sometimes its just not possible, and that's why Kickstarter is there as a resource. Being able to not have a day job and focus full time hours on a game makes a 6 month development time possible, as well as that 3 month post development period. The licensing fees were just too high to be something an Indie could just grab like that, and as stated previously, quality coders come at a high cost.

I hope this answered some of your questions, we are so greatfull for feedback, and hope you'll come check out our livestream Q and A session today at 3pm US Eastern, at www.pinstripegames.com/live
