I'm not a very active member here, but I have occasionally watched video's here for the past half year now or so and I always liked what Ryan did. He will most certainly be missed and it's sad to see someone like him go at such a young age.
I think it is not as bad as some people claim it to be, I like it quite a lot, in fact. Although I think at this moment I still prefer Discovery, although that might change after a few more listens.
I doubt a lot of people will use it, but at least Sony tries to go with the times. I don't mind a button on my joystick that I never use. As long as the joystick isn't full of those buttons, that is.
It seems like it would be a pain to try and hit the middle of the touch pad and so if it's just used for menu navigation that won't be too bad but using it for gameplay could be a problem.
Next time you're holding a Dualshock swipe the middle as if it were a touch pad. Feels pretty natural.
Though the DS4 seems wider, so I don't know whether the feel will be the same. And this actually worries me, because I like the feel of the DS3.
"We're not ready to talk about the exchangability of the hard drives, but it's our dream that people are filling up their hard drives on PS4. Because on PS3, not many people did."
That seems to hint to a big HDD, which is good. PS3 HDD was too small in the beginning (40GB, I still have it and I can only install 5 games or so). I hope for 1TB or more. Under that:
I am really looking to buy it, but not if it's over 450-500-ish (euros, that is). Playstation 3 was too expensive at launch, especially considering the fact that the console itself got cheaper over time, and the HDD got bigger.
I'm not entirely sure about the new controller, to be honest. It seems nice, but I like the DS3 as it is, I have no complaints about it whatsoever. Although I'm interested to see how the touchpad will work out and how it will be used in games (IF it will be used in games). I think it will be mostly used for mini-games.
