Jeff is 100% wrong. Map should always be on the touchpad since it's way more convenient to press than the tiny ass options buttons (I'm tall and have big hands).

@johnymyko: @artisanbreads:

artisanbreads has like 5 posts on the first page of this episode arguing with people.

I have only replied to artisanbreads in three separate episodes of this series. My points have mostly been clarifying what is in the game, and suggesting that people's opinions are subjective. In many of the episodes so far, I've only made one comment or none.

On the other hand, he's complained/belittled many who talk how they play game in nearly every one of these episodes, even trying to draw attention to them. He's also brought up who's quoting him multiple times, as if it matters.

Anyway, johnymyko said among other things.

"I really need to stop checking the comment sections for this ER."

People pointing out what they have missed is not a complaint, some people do, and some don't. Sometimes, it's just discussing with other people what else was in the game for conversation.

You have said multiple times that people who don't like Shenmue were too young to have understood it when it was current. I'm 36 and I've always viewed it as a shallow graphics-over-all showcase.

@squirrelnacho: I was like 20 when this game came out and I never liked it then, either. I rented it once or twice and always found it pretty lackluster. People really only liked it because of the graphics, I think (which were incredible then).

@thaquoth: Totally. Tons of people were all about how this game had a day/night cycle with characters following daily routines. Ultima VII came out in 1992.

When you were fucking around looking for the red light you missed the first part of the goofy visual gag: Maria shows Richter looking like his SotN/Rondo sprite and Alucard remembers him as looking like the NES Belmont from 3 (Chris or something I think).

@i_smell: Cool, thanks for the clarification. Keep doing what you're doing, I really like a lot of it.

They really should have given the license to Omega Force for a Metroid Warriors.

@drewbert The reason the interviews in District 9 seem so real is because they actually are (except the ones that specifically mention aliens.) They're based on interviews from the short film Alive in Joburg in which they used real footage of South Africans being asked about refugees from Zimbabwe, just cutting out the question and making it about space dudes. It's pretty fascinating.

What year is it?? Who cares...this look amazing!

A new game from Cyan Worlds, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Doom, a new Master of Orion...it's definitely 1993: HD.

Oh, and also, 1993 Space Machine.

Fuck yeah, where's my World of Xeen HD?
