It could be the processor. From how I understand it, processor is often a bottleneck in the streaming experience. How far away is the steam link from your mesh network transceiver thingy? Or how far is your computer for that matter. I had the best luck when my PC was hard wired. I wonder how well steam streaming deals with a mesh-style network. That's a lot of wireless to and from each machine. There are easy "hacks" you can do to the steam link to force a higher bitrate, though. I seem to remember there being some diagnostic tools inside the steam link as well to see where your bottleneck might be. Sorry my "help" is so vague and... unhelpful.

EDIT: Here's a really good post from @flashflood_29 that may be insightful. https://www.giantbomb.com/steam/3015-718/forums/steam-link-latency-tests-55-1796456/

I never thought this game would happen. At least not as an actual game by a great developer like Frontier. When I heard this announcement I IMMEDIATELY thought it was a mobile game. Very pumped.

@coryukin: That's very smart. I should try that approach. I'm trying to finish Mafia III while digging into Horizon and it's just foolish. I wind up thinking too hard about which to play and going back to Stardew Valley for a few minutes at a time.

Personally I spend a lot of time trying to decide. Like wayyy too much time, all the way up until the point where I dont have time to actually play anything.

I'd love to see more Random PC Game/Load our Last Souls/Choose Our (my?) Own Adventure style stuff. But I'm happy with any/all. There's not much that I don't watch, unless it's just something I'm super disinterested in, like DOTA or fighting games.

I guess my favorite stuff is the deep dive things, like Metal Gear Scanlon. Take a game someone hasn't played but definitely should (given their tastes), and show their entire experience with it.

@poppduder: That sounds terrifying. I wonder how you feel about snow and/or sleet.

I feel very strongly against them. I live in Chicago. I basically just develop tunnel-vision when I go outside. I pay/bribe people to clean snow off my car/shovel, etc.

You and I are opposites. I'm mildly cryophobic. Touching ice, hearing it screech, especially having it touch my finger/toenails/tongue/teeth... the closest thing I can describe it to is like nails on a chalkboard x 1,000 for most people. Difficult to explain, but my brothers would torture me by putting ice cubes down the back of my shirt or chewing on them near me when I was younger.
