Any of you guys go this year?

My girlfriend and I make a 5 hour drive each year to this fine expo. For anyone not aware, it's a pinball and arcade game convention in Santa Clara, California that features hundreds of pinball and arcade machines all set to freeplay. A few years ago there I got to meet Jeff. I also saw Ryan and Drew but didn't get a chance to say hi.

I play at least 40 matches of The Grid every time we go

Played tons of The Grid, and Street Fighter 2 CE among others. Fun times as always, and they must have fixed the A/C or something because this is the first year that wasn't hot and stinky in the convention center. Woo!

It is seriously fantastic. I use Remote Play while in bed and my PS4 is about 12 feet away, so I'm not far. I've not had any issues with it that I wasn't able to fix pretty easily and when everything is working the way it should it is kind of like being in the future. Picture quality is fantastic and input lag is not noticeable to me unless I'm playing something like Battlefield 4, and even then I hardly notice or care.

I've used it to play many games, most work great but there were a few that had button set ups that made them really tough to play with the Vita. Here's my (and my girlfriends) experience on some games over Remote Play;

  • Don't Starve: My girlfriend used remote play for this a lot and she found it very playable.
  • NBA 2K14: Playable over remote play but just barely. This game requires a ton of buttons which means a bunch of stuff mapped to the touchpad. Ugh.
  • Resogun: Damn near perfect over Remote Play. No issues for me.
  • Tiny Brains: Played through the whole game with Remote Play. Perfecto!
  • KNACK: Worked perfectly. It's just not very fun...

Yup, they are.

Not gonna lie, one of the things I've been looking forward to the most about these consoles launches is the live streams they'll be doing.

@falserelic Is this your first job? Just curious.

Trustme when I say you have nothing to worry about. First off, jobs telling you that type of stuff is just what corporations have to do. On the super, super slim chance anything like that happened to you at work they just need to be able to say "he was aware of the rule." Hell, I was "trained" on how to not die in an elevator at a job.

I'm african-american also, and in my 10 years at 3 different jobs I've never encountered any racism and I live in a largely white city in California. Not to say you or I never will (or maybe you already have, I don't know), but I worked at a nursing home for 7 years and if it was going to happen it probably would have there. There were some old school people there, lol.

I was nervous too when I got my first job ever. But it passes quickly -- keep in mind this is a job where everyone is probably nice and likes to have fun while they work.

Good work on the new job and above all; quit worrying about it so much ;)

I don't...understand.

From the sound of those tweets he makes it sound like someone had recently held a gun to his head and threatened him or some shit like that.

It really doesn't bother me how much athletes make.

It is extremely hard to keep your body in the kind of shape it needs to be, to even compete in these sports. Even the worst NBA player on any roster is better than 95% of the people out there who play basketball and aren't in the NBA.

While these guys do make a lot of money, you have to remember the constant travel and constant team appointments they have to keep. Playing on a professional sports team is more then just showing up for the game. And players like LeBron James, or Kobe Bryant who make 15 million dollars a season? That's a lot, but you have to understand that teams like the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers make tons of money off of them and their names. Merchandise, appearances...them just being on the team sells tickets and they aren't cheap. Season tickets for the Lakers are literally thousands of dollars.

In the end, it all works out. The highest paid players are making money for the teams they play for. It isn't the one sided deal it may seem to be.
