@Bell_End: I have a very similar pc. Same cabinet and GTX570. Went with an i5 2500k OC to 4.3 GHz since processor is rarely a limiting factor in games. I'm actually about to put an Asus Xonar DX sound card in mine so I can hook it up to my new 55'' LED TV and get surround sound whenever i want to play Steam games with a 360 controller.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I also have a similar, if not the same, Noctua CPU cooler.

Well done sir. I would love to see more of this. Just take your time though; a great video every now and then is much preferable to a mediocre one every week.

Will probably buy NFS:HP today, which would put me at around 100 euros. Got at least a year's worth of games though, and for the price of 2 new ones, that's not bad. I've only bought games I already wanted to play, so I'm pretty happy about it.

I feel your pain. I'm firmly in the Madden camp. As a Norwegian I've become a huge fan of the exotic game you Americans call football. I've bought every one since 09. Didn't really want to buy 12, because my close friend and regular opponent went to USA for a year, but he convinced me we could play online (hasn't really happened). Every year you read these amazing blog post from the developers about the revolutionary ....... they've implemented. You think that's really rad, but then you get the game and it always ends up feeling underwhelming. However Madden 13 just won best E3 sports game at GameTrailers, so if the reviews fall in line with that praise, I'll probably wind up with a copy this year as well.

I'm pretty sure they are. I'm working on a PhD and generally behave quite well so they seem pretty proud. My dad even brought my dissertation for the Master's degree to work to show to his employees how insane it looked (my subject is math so it can seem like gibberish if you're not experienced with the terminology). In addition they're pretty great parents so I get the impression they mostly care about me being happy.

It was pretty mediocre. I still think EA was worse, but the large focus on Kinect and Media (most of which won't work outside America) combined with all the big exclusives being the fourth sequel in a run and gun driven franchise, really hurt them IMO. I don't own a 360 and usually there is some game at their conference that really makes me want to buy one. This year I never felt that, which was a little sad, because even though I own a Playstation 3, I have nothing against Microsoft. I just want to see great innovative games from all the press conferences, and it's hard to say Microsoft delivered in that regard this year.

Everything looked competently made, but I was pretty much bored the whole time. Hey we basically took all our current franchises and made another sequel. The low point was the MOH demo which was basically every modern millitary shooter demo cliche from the past 4 years stuffed into one 6 minute long clip.
