man i'm old...i started with soul edge on the ps1. yeah, not soul blade, but a first run import of soul edge, which totally bricked my ps1 after a week. and i've owned all of them except SClegends, since. glad i didn't give up on the series after sc3's horrific balance issues.
agreed. i think it's sad tho that namco felt they needed this hook to be successful, but it doesn't annoy me. it makes me laugh thinking, "there's no way she could fight in that getup without a wardrobe malfunction.
and thirteen year olds everywhere can make goofy characters to their hearts content, use them poorly online and help the rest of us run up our ranks. i'm failing to see a downside here...well aside from the creepy factor. but that's really a transitory thing, and it passes.
now i don't even look at the characters i fight online. i just check their stance to determine who i'm "really" up against...and summarily go to work on them.
same here! i had 7hrs of gametime to blow last night and at least half was in CAS. I only created one from scratch, but I made modified character models for half the regular roster. specifically with all the bonus stats, it makes the process that much more in depth. you can't just focus on the aesthetic appeal but the practical effect it'll have on combat in story, TOS, and online customs.
when i saw it was 1:00am suddenly i thought, "oh crap...this could be a time sink like oblivion was." i need more coffee.
