@crembaw: I plan to make a "Who are your least favorite presidents?" thread. But I'd also have to share my "Top 10 Worst Presidents", which includes many of the most historically beloved ones (Such as FDR, Woodrow Wilson, and Lincoln for example). That would create huge backlash on my end.

Hey, if you have a good reason for their inclusion, by all means make and justify that list. For the record, I find your top 10 list pretty biased towards forgettable conservative presidents, but you are totally entitled to your opinion and you offered legitimate reasons for most of your choices. You didn't really say why you think vetoing a national bank is something I should celebrate, and your choice of Warren Harding as one of the BEST Presidents really confuses me since the few things he DID accomplish before he died were widely marred by the multiple scandals and rampant cronyism of the Little Green House on K Street.

@manmadegod: If you are of the school of thought that the Bible is largely allegorical and that Original Sin is actually just a metaphor for man's inhumanity towards man, then I don't think it contradicts anything. I think you are missing the big picture here, the main point is that every faith has multiple points of view. Sure the Catholic Church has its own stated dogma, but that doesn't mean every single person who associates with that faith actually interprets things the same way. I'm not sure that Catholic teaching has ever definitively stated what specific parts of the Bible are to be taken literally except the things mentioned in the Nicene Creed, which doesn't include the Adam and Eve story being taken literally. Again, I don't care if you have different beliefs, but the issue here is that I feel like you are trying to whittle away the beliefs of people who believe in God by trying to cast them as the definitive "wrong" answer. I don't mind you having your own interpretation, but one thing that turns me off about a lot of modern atheists is that they have a tendency to be very aggressive about theists being misguided or naive to the "truth" of atheism.

@manmadegod: I've personally never understood the argument that you have to really try to make them compatible. Its pretty easy if all you do is say "well God is responsible for the natural order of the universe." That doesn't exclude any scientific truths at all, and still allows for the existence of God. The problem I have with your argument is you are definitively saying there is no way to reconcile the two when, in fact, its actually pretty easy to. I didn't do any mental gymnastics there at all, simply "well God created the principles of science and the universe." I understand the atheist point of view and I don't care if anyone chooses to be an atheist, but to imply that its the only belief system that doesn't require the denial of scientific truth is just plain false.

@cretaceous_bob: I understand where you are coming from, but you also have to realize that the idea that the separation of science and religion is a modern idea. Rationalism was, for a very long time, supported by the Catholic Church. In addition, one of the most prominent orders of monks, the Jesuits, have ALWAYS espoused the use of rational thought and scientific reason from within their religion. The separation between science and religion in today's world was created by Protestants who have a literal reading of the Bible. Not every branch of religion, Christian or otherwise, directly refutes science.

I guess I never really understood the idea of Christianity being diametrically opposed to science. There really isn't anything about either that is inherently incompatible. In fact, none of the great Enlightenment scientists thought their work at all contradicted their religion.

Play some sad Ska trombone for Neversoft.

Yet another studio is sacrificed to Call of Duty by Activision in the name of profit. And people hate EA for some reason.

You are of course aware it is possible to hate multiple companies, yes? I can't stand either of them.

I feel like MOBA is over-saturated as it is that this franchise going into it probably isn't doing any favors for anyone. Even if the combat and style work okay, which I don't have any reason to doubt it will, why would somebody who plays League or Dota 2 already want to play it?

MOBA dollars seem pretty tied up already, and this weird rush toward a genre seems similar to the realization people had with WoW that there were these mythic millions of people who wanted in on this, when in reality they were in on WoW.

Basically, if you're releasing a MOBA this year you're 5 years late to the party.

Yeah its pretty scary how much this sounds like those days when everyone was scrambling to release a WoW killer. The market is so saturated at this point that unless you are really looking to change the gameplay very dramatically you might as well save your money. This will just end up like Super Monday Night Combat or one of the other hundred pretenders.

Probably for the same reason the new Thief is handled by a new team and those guys were gone a long time ago. And Freedom Fighters was EA publisher, we might see it again as something bizarre.

A free to play iPhone/Facebook game probably.
