Super Mario Land is actually my first exposure to the Mario games, so the 1-1 level music was the Mario music for me, not the NES Super Mario Bros. 1-1 track.

If we are going to talk about video game music, there's nothing better than the Final Fantasy music. It's insane how many pieces of great music Nobuo Uematsu has written for pretty much every numbered Final Fantasy until FFX. Every FF has at least a few great memorable tracks with Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II quite possibly having the greatest overall soundtracks of the series, especially if you consider the remastered versions.

If you have some time, listen to "Scene V -Prelude-" from the Symphonic Suite of Final Fantasy, the transition from the main Final Fantasy title track to Overworld music then to the Temple of Chaos is masterful. I love it so damn much.

For Zelda: I think Wind Waker and A Link Between Worlds has to be my favourite. The title screen music of Wind Waker as well as the starting area music ("Outset Island") is so damn good.

For A Link Between Worlds: "Lorule Field" gets me pumped every single time.

For Persona 4: I already love the music of Persona 4 but I think the Golden additions have pushed it to an all time favourite of mine. From the new instrumental tracks like "海へ行こーぜ (Let's Hit The Beach)", "Everyday Sunshine" to "Snowflakes" I find it impossible not to like it. I know not everyone likes the new opening track ("Shadow World") to P4G (looking at you Jeff), but I think it fits the game and its themes even better than the original. I will admit that "True Story" and "マヨナカ横断ミラクルクイズ (Midnight Crossing Miracle Quiz)" are the weaker ones but then A Sky Full of Stars totally makes up for it.

Speaking of Persona.... @arbitrarywater: Having played an hour or so of Persona 5 I'm already hooked on this piece:

I've found recently there are some spam emails that have crept back into my inbox. Normally Gmail does a fantastic job automatically moves them to the spam folder but some have managed to slip through the cracks. It's mildly irritating having to manually delete these emails but not the end of the world. Email is still extremely important because of work as well as personal online security so I wouldn't say it's useless, the spam filtering just need some improvements.

@newfangled: I want to add on top of what @freedom4556 said about the 'Rich' achievement, I'm pretty sure you have to surpass 1 million credits at any given point in time and not accumulated over the course of the game for it to count.

Later on in the game you'll get a medical exoskeleton mod which in my opinion is a must have for any squadmate that uses a lot of abilities. Not only do they give health regen but you also get a power cooldown reduction by 15% or higher. I'm pretty sure they stack as well. I have Liara on two medical exoskeletons so her cooldown is +30% faster.

@captain_insano: I don't think MGSV was a mistake, but I think it would've been a better series if they had done it in an edited form though, which is to say, don't show the grind and have Drew play it both on-screen and off so he has a better grasp of the mechanics involved.

As for a Persona 5 Endurance Run, I just don't think it'll capture the same magic as P4ER.

@newfangled: Ahh ok I know where you're referring to now. Yeah the audio cue helps immensely since it means I can focus on exploring and find loot crates. If you haven't already, I'd suggest choosing squadmates that have high electronics and/or decryption skills so you don't miss out on loot locked in crates. Then again loot is pretty easy to come by, and no doubt you'll get better upgrades the further you progress.

Since you're playing an Adept, remember always use your biotic powers. Powers like Lift and Stasis make combat much more manageable when you can incapacitate harder enemies and pick off the weaker ones first.

@zevvion: I never played Infiltrator, although I did use a sniper throughout most of my first playthrough with the soldier class. After hearing you gush about Vanguard I'm tempted to try it! It'll definitely be a drastic change of playstyle compared to what I'm doing now. Really looking forward to finishing ME1 then start ME2 in time for its seventh anniversary. Holy shit this series is almost ten years old now.

@newfangled: By tunnels on Feros do you mean the ones on the bridge between the "skyscrapers like the one below? I'm not sure exactly why, maybe there's an enemy stuck in geometry you can't kill? I think this happened to me once exactly in those tunnels shown in the screenshot. Or maybe that entire sequence is considered a combat zone so you can't save until you exit.

No Caption Provided

@zevvion: I'm doing a FemShep run since I already did a complete male Shepard playthrough when I first started the series. I'm also thinking of switching over to Vanguard when I start ME2 because I don't wanna be stuck with SMGs and pistols as a Sentinel. Unless there's a way to hack weapon specialisation like in ME1. How survivable is Vanguard on Insanity?

I wanna believe that "Switch" moment Suda did was intentional. His whole segment was such a hot mess, but in the best possible way.

@newfangled: When you're in the Mako you can sometimes be in the presence of enemies which is why saving is greyed out. It's best to get out of the Mako, wait for your squad mates to give you the all clear then you can save. You also can't save inside elevators. Other than that I don't recall any other instances where saving is greyed out. Hope this helps.

I'm replaying the first one on PC and I'm having a blast, specifically because I unlocked all weapon specialisations through the PC console so my Sentinel Shepard didn't have to be stuck with a dumb handgun. I also unlocked full Paragon and Renegade so I can actually choose the response I feel fits my Shepard rather than play the morality game just so I can unlock late game decisions.
