Favorite Male Characters

Where all the commotion begins. Here is a list of all my favorite protagonists and antagonists in the video game universe.

List items

  • The ultimate video game ninja, Ryu Hayabusa has all the moves and skills which make us nerds filled with envy. He seems to have a way with women because a lot of big-bouncy-chested babes are always by his side. Now that's a one lucky ninja.

  • An Engineer turned Alien Slayer. Sorry Gordon Freeman, but you have a rival.

  • Doomguy was not my favourite at the time until DOOM 2016 came along. Now he's in my top ten list.

  • I love Grim Fandango and I love the main character. Manny Calavera has style, a quality that no other game character has.

  • He may not be physically powerful nor possesses any super powers but Prince Alexander is a remarkable hero. The character has a great voice and speaks in a gentle but firm manner. Alexander has encountered and defeated many indescribable creatures including the Lord of The Dead himself.

  • The Godfather of Stealth, Solid Snake is a one in a million soldier. This oblivious, man-made smoker has achieved the impossible and we dig him for that.

  • I think he's the coolest MK kharacter because he was originally a bad guy. After Shao Kahn's hypnotic spell worn off, Ermac was free from his master's control and had a choice to be on the good side or the bad. He chose to be the good guy. Now that's awesome!

  • The best assassin there is.

  • The only Star Wars character created for a video game. That says a lot.

  • The granddaddy of FPS deserves to be in this list. It's a breath of fresh air to see him finally talk in the recently released Wolfenstein game and I love it. I hope this will continue in any upcoming Wolfy games.

  • This cocky hero deserves some credit.

  • Looks can be deceiving. He's a cripple with seven killer personalities. Top that!

  • Probably the most emotional and mentally disturbed video game character ever conceived. Rest in peace, my friend.

  • My favorite Clay Fighter.

  • "I won’t take your riches, but I will take your life!"

The most badass hero/ anti-hero ever created.

  • He may look Asian in the first game and Caucasian in the sequel, but Ethan Thomas has seen it all and killed 'em all.

  • I first discovered him in Dissidia: Final Fantasy and immediately I fell in love with the character (In a fan-based kinda way). Cecil possesses both the light and dark powers allowing him to inflict powerful and over-the-top damages to his foes.

  • A true insane doctor who only exists through a 16mm projector.

  • A badass warrior with a heart of a softspoken warrior.

  • A badass dude with an ultimate rage living deep inside of him.

  • My favourite member of The Cobra Unit. Although he didn't really do much in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, but I respect him for having such a cool appearance and skills. Plus he's into fire, and I love fire.

  • When I first played Sons of Liberty, I thought Raiden was a cool character. I think he really fits to be the oblivious and innocent-looking rookie for the series. I was a little upset when Raiden wasn't as helpful as he should be in Guns of The Patriots. Please Kojima-san, don't butcher this character. Give him back his awesomeness.

  • Always Bet on Duke....well, almost. Just get your game out soonest and don't take forever. Haha, the joke's on you Duke!

  • Underappreciated and unrated. Fred Neuman is a hero with many faces.

  • "OBJECTION!"

  • Ben is a real gangsta. The best part of him is his low, hush voice and his ability to make your life a total misery. Too bad he didn't make it to a sequel.
