Favourite Movie-Licensed Games

A few things to note:

  • You can tell I LOVE Ghostbusters :D
  • The games don't have to be a direct representation of the movie; can be more or less a continuation or prequel (eg. Alien Isolation)

Wasn't aware of the Small Soldiers RTS. Kinda liked the PS1 third person shooter though, had some neat ideas and was the first time I saw one of those games with the camera aligned over the character's shoulders instead of right behind them.

I played both versions (in fact, the console Small Soldiers was actually the first PS1 game I ever played) but my fav is still Small Soldiers: Squad Commander. It's not the best strategy game out there but I love the simplicity of it; it focuses more on puzzle elements than constructions and map dominion.

Here's a sample of the game. The audio brings back so many nostalgic memories. And yes, Tommy Lee Jones returned to voice Major Chip Hazard. Here's hoping Squad Commander will be re-released on GOG.com someday.
