Neuromancer and Snow Crash really are the two definitive ones to read. Some day, one of those will be made into a decent movie.
They borrowed heavily from Neuromancer to create this god-awful tripe:

I dont know exactly what the story was... if Johnny Mnemonic was meant to be Neuromancer but got so fucked during production it turned into another Keanu hilarity vehicle.
Johnny Mnemonic is based on one of Gibson's short stories with the same name, not Neuromancer.
How is 3 seasons of a show 15 discs on bluray? That should definitely be 9, maybe 12 because its an hbo show. 15 sounds ridiculous.
2 eps per disc. 10 episode seasons.
Are there a lot of extras, because that's really low from my experience? Usually 4-5 episodes of a 45 minute show plus a decent amount of extras can fit on 1 disc, and still be great quality.
I honestly cant remember about the extras. Its just how HBO's done their shows. Deadwood on DVD was the same way. 2 eps per disc. So who knows mang.
Im gonna break all of your requirements, but look into Max Allen Collins. He does some fantastic harboiled work. From his historical Nathan Heller novels and more modern Quarry series, nearly every thing he does is a blast.
Also look into Mickey Spillane the grandfather of the sock-em-in-the-jaw with a belt of whiskey PI books.
12. Wooden chests will break after 3 hits, destroying all the items inside and giving you rubbish. My strategy is to hit chests once to check for mimics (I don't know if they're in the game yet,) then be ready to roll backwards while opening the chest if there's a trap.
Is rubbish still tradeable to the crows like in DkS?
13. Weapon durability is a stat in the inventory screen. It is also represented by a small red "healthbar" under the item in the main gameplay scree.
