@Turambar: Yes, sure capital gains tax is used for much more sinister purposes by many people but that is up to each country to implement them properly.

Jeez, the hostility and ignorance on these boards is off the charts...

I could care less about the situation in the US but you guys need to see what is actually going on.

@pwnmachine As a Canadian, what makes you think even for a second that you have an accurate view of Americans, particularly these "lazy" ones that you keep inferring about? After all, you said it yourself, you're looking from the outside.

Funny thing is, I probably have a better idea of what is important to your country's welfare than most Americans do. If the US economy dips you take us with you, plus I have family in the US so I definitely know what I'm talking about. American's seem to take an "ignorance is bliss" approach to a lot of things which is extremely unsettling.

Either way Obama won so lets just hope he can fix the shit show which is the American monetary system and budget...

@depecheload: Don't even get me started on the military, since both candidates had similar views that isn't really an issue here. And to be honest American history predicts that will be a cost that will never be reduced no matter how much we bitch and moan about it...

@jsnyder82: Actually I am a very pleasant person I live an amazing life and have every luxury afforded to me. However, it is frustrating to see people not be willing to work but still expect a handout. For example my sister(in the US) makes +200K a year but about half of that goes to taxes, which is FINE, but when this money is being allocated to places in the economy that promote dependency is outright ridiculous. These comments are for the betterment of the American people if you can't see that then I have nothing else to say...

@SeriouslyNow: That is an extremely naive way to look at it. I never said ALL poor people are "lazy" or "evil" however there are a lot of Americans for whom it is much more beneficial to stay on welfare rather than going out and putting in a hard day's work. This is the wrong type of incentive you want to set, sure they will go out and spend that welfare money on products and services to stimulate the economy. But honestly how long is that sustainable for? How long before the cost for these programs and the actual revenue streams catch up with each other? The key here is sustainability, you need Americans to get back on their feet not set an unhealthy standard...The money being spent on these programs has far better uses than a bottom up approach.

I can't believe the Americans elected Obama for a second term, let the leeching of the economy by the 47% continue.

It's simple, social programs and assistance are for times of prosperity not in times of deficit. The only way the US will get back on it's feet is if small businesses get the money that is being funneled to people on social assistance who have become accustomed to sitting on their asses doing nothing.

Open your eyes people there are perfectly fit people sitting on their asses living off the government who won't go out and get jobs, Romney pointed this out and it was spun into a negative comment.

I usually wouldn't care but if the US economy fails(which it is well on it's way to doing so) ours will as well...If you haven't guessed already I am a Canadian.

Paul Ryan alt account.

Are you kidding me, you must obviously be an idiot or a misinformed citizen. I am on the outside looking in, and I can tell you your country is being eaten by it's overly lazy public. Of the 47% who rely on government programs at most 25% of them are actual honest citizens, if you cant realize that then I don't know what else to say...

Social programs are to be used in conjunction with economic programs that help compensate for the additional expenditure. Obama thinks that social programs with no other actions to keep them afloat will be just fine, it is absolutely ludicrous.

Donald Trump alt account.

Yes, sure I do make a lot of money. Is that a crime? Should I have to pay a price because I work hard to have a 5 million dollar house, drive nice cars or have several vacation homes in the US.

No, it is all a product of hard work, If half the American public does not want to work hard then they can live a life that reflects that. Why should hard working Americans pay for those who are unwilling to work to live a similar lifestyle to theirs? It absolutely makes so sense , this is the beginning of dire times for the American people and I feel sorry for you guys...

It's simple, you help the upper to middle class who in-turn create jobs for the lower class, injecting money into the lower class shit hole will do nothing but make that hole larger...Much larger.

But hey if half your lower class doesn't want to work a hard days job because they are getting more from the government who can blame them for wanting to stay on welfare. Wake up people...

Yup, COD2 was hands down my favorite Call of Duty game. I have been playing a shittonne of Red Orchestra over the past few months and I love it, but new additions to the genre are definitely welcome by me...
