@rorie: Yeah, Brotherhood (the anime shorts) and Kingsglaive (the CG movie) are absolutely essential to understanding the plot/characters. They should've communicated that stuff better in the game itself, for sure. I have no idea about this thing, though. Does it even have a plot?

I'm definitely getting it. There are things I'm excited about and other things not so much. I'm still concerned it's going to rely too much on just gameplay and characters talking as you run around the environment to further the story. I HATE that trend. But if it's got a ton of story that they just aren't showing (which they very well might), I'll be extremely happy. At the very least, it's very pretty, and I look forward to seeing how it furthers the universe.

It isn't great so far, but it at least feels consistent with 24, particularly some of the more "meh" seasons. But yeah, Eric Carter is no Jack Bauer, at least not yet. I don't hate him, but he's just kind of bland. The actor doesn't have that same magnetism as Kiefer Sutherland did. But hey, I'm willing to see where it goes. And I actually really liked that confrontation scene with Donovan and his father last week. Some really strong acting from both parties.

@hunkulese: I...can't really tell if she's having fun about people speculating they're leaving, or hinting that things have gone really bad. I'm talking 50/50 here. I would be surprised if they left considering how much creative freedom they seemingly have, but who knows? Money talks.

@internetdotcom: My honest expectation is that if they come back, they come back seemingly "normal" before quickly reverting to the Broken stuff in a twist moment to get a bigger pop. I could be wrong, however.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has its gameplay reveal on March 8th. I think that wraps this one up, save for a surprise double announcement.

@zombiepie: Look, man...I spent some money on Adventure Capitalist on PS4. I can't say a dang thing.

RE3 is cool. Don't worry, the police station is a really short segment of the game. It's almost entirely new environments. Also, it isn't very long or anything. Code Veronica...now that's a long game. Also, seriously, play Code Veronica (specifically the X version, which is what the HD re-releases are). It's actually a main game, even though it isn't numbered.

Well, I'm just going to sob openly in a dark room for a while. The place won't be the same without you, Drew.
