I'm one of the few that read your "if I could remember them" as a sign "there isn't anything to see here... heck I already forgot it." - double meaning? no, simply nothing interesting enough to press on a gamers mind. Sounds boring.

The prime games are not important to the time-line because it really was just a side tracked mission sequence between Zero Mission and Metroid 2 - dealing with more space pirates and phazon which is now gone.

It would have been nice to have Zero Mission in there for the first set of summary... man, when are we going to get a Metroid 2 remake, or is it too evil to think of Samus as someone that nearly performed Xenocide during her career?

"I personnally don't mind the Radio edit of songs. Swearing is the opposite of 'strong language', it is used for people that can't harness really effective dialog and expression. I'm perfectly fine that they leave it out. As for the main setlist, swearing should stay banned.

Now, as for DLC, if they want to add explicit tracks and what not, I'm fine with that as long as it is labeled as such. It wouldn't be that hard to make both the radio edit and the 'original' version and allow both to be downloaded. Then the makers can truly find out if swearing adds anything to the value of the material.

as for Clubvodka's comment, yes it is worse than a female character in a bra... you don't have to undress your character if you don't want to, but I would have to listen to the swearing in the tracks to play the game if they were there.

"
I believe the opposite of 'strong language' would be weak/mild language.

Saying that swearing is used for people that can't harness really effective dialogue  preposterous. Sure there is stuff like ICP that is vulgar for the sake of being vulgar. However, there is also stuff like Tool. Going beyond the medium of music there are movies like American History X or  classic literature like Mark Twain. Are those vulgar because they can't harness effective dialogue and expression?
"

Going with your comparision... actually the opposite of 'strong language' would be no mention of the language level at all. The weak/mild language would be the middle ground. But you know as well as I that the literal comparison was not implied in my original post.

I can't really comment on the Tool thing. I haven't looked into them or bothered really. As for American History X, never heard of it. Must not be very versed in movies I suppose.

For Mark Twain I don't know of any language in there... Mark Twain wrote with accepted dialog of the time frame, before most of the words became completely revolting and insulting. This differs from the dialog found in todays literature and media though. The use of swearing in todays world is a 'slide' from sophisicated dialog into something more shocking to garner attention.

So in short... Games like Zelda or Mario are so far out, we didn't feel like showing something that probably won't show up until after next years E3...

I'll keep that in mind when I look forward to Wii games that don't suck.

Rock Band... or maybe it is Oblivion...  But those are the only two to be in there for about a month now.

One of these days I'm going to get around to Mass Effect.

I'm one of those that won't be getting a new drum kit until the old one dies off. And even then might have to think about it for a while. I personally don't use the drums enough to care.

To me it seems like there is a lot of emphasis on the story, which I am excited to see a intersiting story in between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. But the gameplay looks like a step below the Jedi Outcast style.

"
Only thing about the story is we already know the character either has to die or go into exile at the end.
"
Or not and it is left hanging for the sequel... I would prefer either of the two other endings over this though.

Isn't the point of talkie parts so you can pretty much say anything you want in them at any pitch, tone or whatever? if not, why even bother having them 'talkie'?  I sure hope they made it better because I hated the talkie parts with a passion.
