I personally ate up every bit of that turn last night. Didn't see it coming in the slightest. Rollins turning on his "brothers" to join HHH makes sense to me just as it would make sense if it were anyone else. The boss comes to you and offers you power, money, whatever, and he took it. He's shown signs of wavering before.
I think we finally have a proper Evolution again now with HHH as Flair, Orton as HHH and Rollins as the new Orton. How long it will last, who knows, and I really doubt it'll have anywhere near the impact that the original group had, but it's interesting to see. Everyone will benefit from this.
I honestly can't think the last time I was that shocked and saddened by a turn in wrestling, but christ, end of an era. We always knew it couldn't last forever, and I think it lasted much longer than anyone really expected it to.
Slightly different note here, but I have to say I am extremely surprised and happy with how Dean Ambrose is as one of the good guys. Coming in, I expecting psychopath until the end, one of those guys who would always kind of just be on the fence rather than ever fully being GOOD, but he's surprised me. He is INCREDIBLY likeable, and I think has a huge future, far bigger than I could have imagined, in the WWE. I was upset myself that Rollins had betrayed the team, but I felt worse for Ambrose. The look on his face perfectly captured that moment for me.
Anyway, yeah, that was wrestling's own little Game of Thrones moment for me. Well done.
