I know you can't reveal sources, but how did you even find out about this quote? Do you know someone at EA who came to you first, or was it like "LOL he totally said this" and the reporter in you ran with it?
Man, I just built a PC in the living room for a) gaming and b) streaming football. When the season's over, and this releases, may be worth checking out. If the streaming thing works, I could even take old parts I have lying around and make a couple of streaming game boxes.
@levio: What makes you think it would demolish standard consoles? Your average non-PC gamer won't switch because a) they have too much invested in an ecosystem and b) won't understand how it works. I'd be surprised if it did 5% of the sales of the One and PS4, really.
@aoi: Why would Valve intentionally make a box that allows you to buy games from other services? I mean, you can do that now on any computer, so how would it benefit them?
I don't even really care about how he runs EA, the fact he's CEO of a company that big at his age is unreal. Puts my life in a bit of perspective, for sure.
As tragic as the whole thing is, it's comforting in some way that the last time a lot of people saw him was probably the happiest day of his life and that's what will be remembered.
