2017 Seems to have a front-runner for the "Most Disappointing Game" category.

I'm devastated. This was my most hyped game ever since the reveal, and now I don't want to touch it for quite a number of months. Those technical issues will take some time to sort out.

@the_last_starfighter: It sounded like what Jeff wanted was a clearly present character history. You choose the looks, but the devs choose the name.

*Edit* Does this mean we don't see any Quarian characters in Andromeda? Will we miss that?

@thisisdell: Because Day One, Day Two, etc, does not correspond to the days recordings took place. They keep going and reset, probably getting through 2 or 3 in one day. This is also a good reason why they're taking frequent breaks.

@jkz: It would've been great 10 years ago. Now, it's poorly directed and the lines themselves are uninspired. It suffers by comparison to games that got it right. It suffers further by the stiff facial animations. Everyone's features look molded by clay and moved by invisible strings.

Thankfully for the game and its strong points, the VO work seems to have become an in-joke for Giant Bomb.

*Edit* Oh my gods! Is the dialogue just a cut-and-paste job? It feels like I've heard every other line before. Verbatim.

I expect something along the lines of Advent Children. By that, I mean Japanese drama with a lot of sighing, grunting, oddly placed laughter, one-note characters, screaming women, crying women, useless women, posturing men, fighting men, lots of flashy fighting, lots of characters that want to storm off but stop suddenly, and so on until the end.

It looks absolutely fantastic in its separate frames, but I'm struck by the uncanny valley when things move--faces look juuust a bit off.

Is this one shEight or shnine?

Pretty sure this would be Sheight. Justin talked about Sheven not too long ago.

That narrator voice... I know it's probably a nobody, but I went from thinking James Spader to Bryan Cranston. Good read.

I'm not a big fan of playing these games but they sure are cool to watch. I'm excited to see Supergirl, and was that Red Hood or Arkham Knight? Looking forward to YouTubing the cutscenes.

Definitely Bryan Cranston; James Spader has an even deeper timbre. An acquaintance of mine speculated that he'll voice Ra's Al Ghul, given the line, "Each time I enter the pit, I am reborn."

My gods, that dialogue and delivery is boring me to tears. As if someone took a sheet of paper, wrote "Edgy Characters!" and then drew a mind map from that--all the connections consisting of lightning bolts.
