Honestly, I think this is a Arkham Asylum situation.  Batman: AA did not need protection from early bad reviews, it was fairly obvious even before it released.  Likewise, I cannot fathom why Ubisoft thinks AC2 needs protecting.  It's a plainly much, much better game than the last one, and that one managed quite a few good marks despite it's flaws.

I don't understand the logic in bringing back this series, now, on this system.  The only response i can muster up is..... why?

The kind of servers they would need to make this work well would cost enormous sums of money to keep running, which would require an enormous user base, which would require something better than a limited selection of gimped PC games. (lower resolution than PC gamers are used to, no user mods, possible input lag depending on connection quality) It doesn't appeal to PC gamers, and it doesn't appeal to console gamers who would just as soon play games they actually have ownership of, not to mention any console will have far more variety in it's selection that OnLive has or ever will have.  The mandatory wait and see optimistic kid gloves need to come off here.  If it smells like shit, and looks like shit, it's shit.

OnLive is shit.  This is Phantom 2.0, and it'll have roughly the same ending.  It will change nothing, and it will fail, miserably.

Use the Off Topic forum.  Maybe this and the health care thread will motivate someone to stick "Game" between General and Discussion in the forum name, finally.

I'll do one better and just import the PS3 version, as it's all in English anyway aside from the manual.

Oh man that was really over the top when that happened, "
That was the greatest thing to ever happen to the System Wars board at Gamespot, ever.  So many lulz, so very many lulz.

Like I've always said, the absolute worst thing about online gaming, and the only thing really holding online back at this point, are the online gamers themselves.  Stricter moderation of the people who use these services with a three strike and your out system that bans both the profile and the system itself from playing games on the service would be an absolute godsend.  However, these blubbering retards outnumber us 10 to 1, and they typically buy up DLC quick as shit.  So they get off easy, or get away with being dicks and ruining everything for more casual players who have actual priorities in life as opposed to valuing a meaningless number beside their name on a leaderboard of some product from a disposable bubble gum hobby over anything else in the world.

Neither did Oblivion. It pretty much went down a step from Morrowind. "
Yeah if adding real hit detection is a step down "
If you value hit detection over actual depth and appealing and varied world design, then you have your priorities wrong.  If you were swinging and missing with a weapon, then you simply didn't have a high enough stat in the skill that governed that weapon type.  It was quite easy to plan ahead and allocate points to the weapon types you thought you may prefer at character creation, choose the right birth sign to enhance those picks, and hit more than 90% of the time right off the bat.  It's not Bethesda's fault no one read the goddamn instruction manual, jumped off the ship, grabbed a sword, then made posts wondering why they couldn't kill a rat with a long sword. (it's because you have a pathetic stat in the skill that governs it [you would have known this if you read the manual guys]) But despite that they listened to these nincompoops and made the game as watered down, mainstreamed, and basically ADD retard friendly as possible while also adding character and loot scaling, the most insanely stupid game design choice in the known history of the genre.

Not interested in this game at all.  Never played the first one either.  My CoD experience is playing CoD2 on the 360 at launch for all of twenty minutes, shrugging, and saying "I don't get it".  Never looked back.  I haven't even watched a trailer for either MW or MW2.  It's just a total and absolute lack of any desire to know or see anything about this game.  Likely has to do with all the absolutely shameful actions of the company that is behind it.
