For MGS4 and a damn good Blu Ray player, I'd say yes.  My only real gripes are the mandatory installs, and the lack of PSone classic releases outside of Japan in the online store.

Siren: Blood Curse.  I've been waiting for some classic survival horror action for a good while, and it comes out this very week.  Besides that, Dragon Age: Origins just looks..... so good. (seriously, it makes me cry tears of joy) It missed being my favorite game just due to the pain of waiting until 2009 to play it.

My PSN ID is TenaciousG.  I don't actually play any games online though, I could be talked into playing and being beasted at MK2.  But not literally talked into it, I don't have a headset.

"They certainly need more PS1 games. I think the Japanese store has over 200 while in the US the store is at like 26. And I swear half of those are Jet Moto...

And even though I shop through the US store, they need to cut down on the wait times for PSN games between the US and Europe. It's just ridiculous.

Well, we seem to all be getting Siren in a rather small time frame, that's encouraging.  The classics really are a sore point though, because Sony is the only one seeming to have such hard issues with classic games in these regions.  Nintendo hasn't got that issue, and even Microsoft manages an Xbox original or two every month.  So it's pretty infuriating to get one PSone game every three months at best, and it ends up being something like Jet Moto or Syphon Filter.  That classics feature has potential, I hope they manage to realize that outside of Japan one of these days.

"I really wish I liked Siren, I could use something to play right now. But after the demo, I found the controls were wonky, the characters were stereotypes and they've got bad voice actors. It still managed to scare the poop out of me though. I'm looking forward to PixelJunk Eden download-wise."
In other words, it's a survival horror game, lol.  I guess people would have a hard time getting into it, it's a bit of a throwback title that doesn't have many if any of the changes made to that sub genre recently.  It'll mostly appeal to the Fatal Frame and Silent Hill crowd.

I'm a long time critic of the Playstation Store.  I dislike the lack of third party support, I dislike the "staggered release" strategy they've had so far, and I dislike the lack of PSone classics in North America. (and Europe, for my homies over there) But the last few weeks have been pretty cool.  The MGS4 database is a snazzy and unique companion to the actual game, the updates to Stardust HD have transformed it into a whole new game, we FINALLY got another actual classic PSone classic  in Rayman, and this Thursday we have Siren, which could be the best survival horror game in some time.  Even Eurogamer loved it, and those guys are way anal.  Also, we just recently got Elefunk, which has positive word of mouth, (and a five dollar price tag, which doesn't hurt) as well as getting 1942: Joint Strike this week as well.

Maybe they won't be able to maintain this momentum, maybe we'll see the next PSone classic in September, but right now, it's looking pretty good.  Siren is basically one of my most anticipated games for this year as a whole, and I rarely say that about a digital download title.

Due to the fact that I do not want to get a new HDD and re download absolutely everything, I have been going with 360 over PS3.  Those mandatory installs are killing my 60GB HDD.  Thats one thing I truly dislike about the system, the replaceable HDD is going from "hella cool option" to "hella cool requirement".  I'm in the process right now of weighing my options, get a new HDD this next few days, and re-download everything pre 9 GB download of Siren, or weeks later.  That'll be the one that would be a pain as I'm on DSL.  I'm leaning towards getting a 120GB HDD as of right now.  When that happens, I may start getting more games on the PS3.
