It would be cool if it was a game that not everyone knows. Like a Sega CD classic FMV game or something that lends to a lot of side jokes and conversation. Part of why I watch the Endurance Run, and I am hooked, is that I like hearing Jeff and Vinnie toss out their opinions on a game while they play said game. I'd love to hear what they would say about 3DO's Captain Quazar or Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn. Otherwise.. Battletoads!

At some point this will level off. In Japan you can buy and sell systems like mad. So it won't be long before the install base of new systems becomes the install base of used systems at Super Potato or any other number of stores there. I'm not knocking 360 or the games. MS has put a lot of money, time and effort into 360 in Japan and it is starting to pay off in droves. I'm just thinking out loud that the cost thing brought up by other posters, along with the exclusives, may be the accellarant for seasonal purchases. If a consistant line of releases continues then my comments are null and void because that will keep the systems in homes and not in stores.

I doubt we will ever see a true CTB again, however, never say never with Square-Enix. After all Square went from being the company that never looked back or rereleased games to being the Spin Off/One Off/Sequel monster it is today.

I'm slumming it at the moment, gas prices are insane, so I've just finished Ratchet And Clank: Up Your Arsenal and I just unwrapped Persona 3: FES

And that is why we have "Barbie's Horse Adventures". See, something for everyone.. sarcasticly implied of course.

It does look like Atlus and the Wii's Virtual Console are the palce I turn to now for this type of gaming. And I do fit into the demo that someone mentioned above about being the older gamer that grew up on the standards of Text Adventures, Phantasy Star 1, Lufia, Final Fantasy and Shining Force. For me these games remind me of Chess. And since I can rarely find people to play stratagy type games that don't require a mouse,  a tech tree that doubles as a wall poster and a boat load of time [thanks Sins of the Solar Empire] I'm stuck with solo adventuring on the consoles. Not the DS.. ugh. And how will Nintendo ever do a Game Boy Player for that thing anyhow?

I agree with a lot of what CountRockula said above. I had a few of the shows from the last two months in my list but I have deleted them a few days ago because I just didn't see me going through them for a lot of the reasons already mentioned. I too liked Tor as a guest in the glory days and I was excited to see him as host.. for a few weeks. Even lobster can grow to be less special when you eat it all the time I guess as I just don't find him as entertaining now. And the last time I even vistited GS after the CNET scandal was to watch the press conferences last week at E3.

Cancer and I fit the profile pretty well. Plus I get gifts every six months. So that's a bonus.

For some reason my ARCHOS 604 media player has decided to refuse to move from my Soundtracks folder. So I am jumping from music out of the first Sonic Rush game to the 3rd Series soundtrack for Doctor Who. The last non soundtrack music was Helmet's "See You Dead".
