I believe the DRM was removed for the Enhanced Edition, but I'm not sure. You don't have to be always online to play. At most you'd have to perform an initial setup of some sort. The Witcher is actually a bit different than Bioware/Black Isle RPG's in that it is an action RPG where you control a single character, over a turn based RPG where you control a party of characters. If he likes the turn based strategic element (which he might if he likes Civ and Total War) then this might not be the game for him. If he enjoys complex, dark stories, and more action oriented gameplay then this would be for him. But I wouldn't say The Witcher is too similar to Bioware/Black Isle games. It has some of the same elements and some unique elements.

Around 150. Not a huge amount, but decent speaking that I've only been collecting for maybe five years.

Final Cut is the industry standard, and Adobe programs are designed for Mac first. Generally I'd say go for PC, but in the two industries you are getting into I would definitely go with a Mac. I Core i5 iMac is under $2000 and should get the job done just fine.

That's exactly what I thought. Except Cole Train is funny. And TF2 is funny. And this guy was decidedly not funny.

Pyramid wasn't killing anyone. It was capturing people and putting them in a virtual reality world that simulated current society. Because the post-apocolypse world sucked so much, Pyramid was trying to help these people live fake good lives. They weren't slaves, but willing members of a larger group. The slave that died at the beginning was sort of a special case, as he and his fellows were drafted to capture other people instead of living in the fake utopia. At the end Pyramid is destroyed and all the people wake up from the virtual world.

As for the Leviathon, it wasn't designed to be driven by a machine. It was designed to be driven by the bandits who were going to attack pyramid. There was no autopilot so Pigsy had to drive the machine into the oncoming mechs to destroy them in the blast.

There are no plot holes. If you just pay attention you'll see that everything makes sense.

Yes, many sites to push out half assed reviews just to get them out first. What some sites are saying is that they want to do the game justice by not reviewing something they are only a third done with. They are doing their job. Just seems no one else is.

Haven't seen Iron Giant, but Grave of the Fireflies is the obvious answer. Also, the Disney short The Little Matchstick Girl. I was in tears at the end of that short.

"What kind of bullshit is that? More copies are sold on 360 because more people own 360s, but that's no excuse to release a half assed PS3 version. "

They have less to loss if the lesser version is broken.  The vast majority of COD users are on 360, 2 million at the most are on PS3 and they have no other choice but to wait for a patch.  What else are PS3 users gonna play?  If they had a 360, they would've gotten COD on 360 anyway.    That's how it is.  The console that has more sales gets the better product.  You please the foundation and fix up the lesser parts as time goes on. "

That isn't even remotely true. The reason for the poor PS3 performance is that the developers develop for the 360 and port to PS3. And that isn't because there are more 360's than PS3's. It's because you always develop for the least common denominator. Meaning that out of the three platforms it is on (PS3, 360, PC), the 360 is the least powerful so you make it work on 360, it will work at least decently on PS3 and PC. The issue here is that the PS3 and PC versions weren't optimized for their respective systems. The PS3 is capable of making a better looking and running game than the 360, but the issue is that for that to happen you have to put a lot of calculations on the Cell's SPU's. That means you have to redesign your engine a lot. Things that the 360 uses the GPU for, can't run on the PS3 GPU. The cell is supposed to handle most calculations, with the GPU only doing minor amounts of work. But it would take an extra two or three months to do a port like that so they just ship what they can. If you look at something like FF13 on PS3, you can see that huge concessions had to be made to get it running on 360, as the 360 just wasn't powerful enough to run what the PS3 could. The problem is that the PS3 is so hard to develop for. Last generation the PS2 was hard to develop for and Xbox was easy, just like now, but the Xbox was the more powerful system so if you could get it running on PS2 in a couple of weeks you could have it running on Xbox with better graphics and performance.

As for PC, well most companies just ship the Xbox version with support for higher resolutions and expect PC gamers to just buy better PC's to make it run. If you don't optimize it for multiple different PC specs then you'll have major issues. Plus the Call of Duty engine doesn't support as many cores as it should, so it is at most making use of two cores, even when you have four, eight, or even twelve open for use.
