  • Great freaking game, taking a break for now because I just reached the sci-fi enemies and they're kicking my ass.

  • This is I think my 3rd attempt at this game. I feel bad, because I love the series, but this one bores me every time. I'm glad to finally have it in my collection and would like to complete it at some point to see if it changes my mind.

  • I made it fairly far into the game on my PS3 but got stuck once I reached the frustrating city levels. As a Turok fan, the linear nature and certain design choices are still disappointing but having started over from the beginning, aware of its shortcomings, I'm having a lot more fun with it. Ofcourse, I'm only a few chapters in at this point. I'm still expecting those later levels to frustrate, but I'm determined to beat it this time. Update - got past the level I was previously stuck on, 3 levels to go.

  • I finally played Gears Of War 1 a few months ago when I got my 360 and after years of anticipation I was pretty letdown to find it not that much better than the many games that have copied it. I've been playing Gears 2 in short spurts and it's closer to what I expected from the first one. I still haven't gotten the bad taste out of my mouth completely but there's a lot more variety here and I'm hoping that by the campaign's end I'll be a fan (cuz I really love Epic and Unreal).

  • I love the over the top acrobatic gunplay combat system so much that when the reviews said it got repetitive I thought there was no way it would get old for me; but it did. After several hours with no variation it starts to feel stale and when the difficulty ramps up it's hard to feel motivated enough to put forth the extra effort. I thought this could be the first turn-based strategy game I'd complete, but now it doesn't seem likely.

  • XBLA HD version. Having only played a few sessions of the N64 version's splitscreen previously, I'm really impressed that the creative environments and story are already standing out as improvements from Goldeneye. I just got to the rainy cyberpunk city streets level and I'm shooting through multiple guys at once with a magnum that has an awesome reload animation and it's stunning to see how the developers took a winning gameplay formula and just threw every cool idea they could come up with on top of it. Playing on Secret Agent the missions are pretty difficult and require a couple tries just to figure out the right approach, but it's rewarding once you work out a strategy and complete the level; similar to those Goldeneye missions back in the day.

  • This game has serene environments, genuinely hilarious writing, and the gameplay is decent to boot. It's completely lived up to its rare gem status so far.

  • One of the most solid straight up action third person shooters I've played on PS2. I'm loving the story and universe of Rogue Trooper, as this is my first exposure to it; but I knew it had to be badass cuz it is 2000 AD.

  • There's nothing particularly special about the way this game looks or plays. What it does well is bringing the Judge Dredd universe to life, it has a very sarcastic funny attitude and so far it's been enough to keep things fun despite the loose shooting and boring waypoint following. Overall, it has a very low budget small production feel and I have kind of an odd appreciation for it because I feel like if I was to make a game it would be kind of like this. It makes sense that it was made by Rebellion, it looks like it's running on a similar engine to the original AvP. An unexpected bonus is that the deathmatch mode includes bots.

  • This game really took me by surprise. The screenshots looked good but I mostly downloaded the demo out of morbid curiosity since I vaguely remembered the Madballs toys from my childhood and couldn't comprehend why they were being featured in a current video game. I was more shocked to find that it's incredibly fun to play. Featuring a relaxing and humorous atmosphere and story reminiscent of Tetris Worlds, badass arena shooter gameplay from a top-down perspective, and the fresh twist of playing as a ball that can roll around the levels with the momentum of weighty physics, it's irresistibly fun and just makes me happy.

  • My team consists of Deadpool and Blade yet I'm surprisingly having the most fun playing as Storm. :D

  • This is no Shattered Soldier but it's still a fun extremely over the top shoot 'em up with a much sillier attitude (and more forgiving difficulty) than its predecessor. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to save which stages you've cleared unless you beat them all in one sitting(I'm assuming).

  • As much as I'd hoped it would prove me wrong, Constantine really is just an average boring movie tie-in game. I'll probably play through the rest of it but if the experience I've had so far is any indication, it won't be much fun.

  • I brought the Colonies edition to the counter, but Gamestop ended up selling me the standard edition. I played that for a couple hours but decided to exchange it for the colonies edition, but I'm still not sure if that was the right choice. The colonies edition has all the multiplayer DLC and a couple singleplayer challenge modes but lacks most of the singleplayer trophies of the standard edition.

  • I really like the presentation of this game, the music & menu art style seem ahead of their time and exploring the base between missions is a great touch. Unfortunately, gameplay-wise it's probably got the worst shooting of any third person shooter I've played.
