@unastrike and for Ben (sorry I don't know his username here to tag him too)
Just a heads up on that Tekken talk, Jack is considered mid to upper mid tier in the competitive scene.
The thing about him is that he probably has the best poking toolset in the game, and is relatively easy to use, but you have to have incredibly strong Tekken fundamentals to do well with him, which is part of why he isn't used very often.
If you go back and watch Saint play Jack, he really only uses a handful of moves in the neutral, and they're all relatively safe moves. Anakin on the other hand takes very big risks on some of his reads, mainly his usage of Debugger (that big spinning low punch) that lead to him taking a ton of damage when it was blocked, but also worked out for him fairly often.
Jack's flaws are that his sidestep is pretty gimp up close, and he's not particularly great at escaping up close pressure without making hard reads, which is far from the major flaws of the true bottom tier of Tekken 7 in Lucky Chloe, who has horrendous lows and is very punishable on almost all of her offense, and Gigas, who has both the worst sidestep and the worst backdash in the game.
I can't wait for Tekken 7. Sure other fighting games may be more balanced or have a better comp scene but I don't care about that. I just like the rad characters and extreme soundtrack.
After 5.0, Tekken is generally considered to be one of the most balanced fighters out there due to the template that most of the cast follows. That's why there aren't really any huge match up gaps like you'll see in 2D fighters, but the trade off is that a lot of the match ups pretty much play out the same way, so it can be boring to watch.
As far as this announcement goes, all I need to see is no Bob or Christie/Eddy, but include Marduk in the cast. I'll be all in if that happens.
