Games that looked worse than their predecessor

by redfoxbennaton

A sequel always promises better graphics and everything. Sometimes these graphics take the backseat for gameplay and rightfully so.

Fallout: New Vegas

1. Fallout: New Vegas

This one is the worst offender. Imagine playing this on Ps3 in 2011? It almost looks like the first ever ps3 game. FONV improved everything over fallout 3 except for atmosphere and graphics. The world is so dry and there is no shadows casting and the animations are stiff. A far cry from Last of Us.

Resident Evil 6

2. Resident Evil 6

RE5 showed us what next gen hardware could do. But re6 was a step back in more ways than one. All the environments where rathere blurry and lacking in detail. With JJ Abrams lens flare. It doesnt look as solid or consistent as re5. It looks dare I say rushed. Gotta hand it to the devs for putting real time hair physics. Ooh lala

Battlefield 4

3. Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 sure is beautiful. But it falls short of its textures and polygons. Its hard to describe but the who thing feels less realistic than the last.

4. BioShock 2

Bioshock 2 is rushed. It looked much blockier than the og. BS2 looked like an overclocked Gamecube game.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

5. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and bolts was the next gen sequel to Banjo Tooie. The environments are gorgeous for a 2008 game but my God what are these character models? They look like they are Viva Piñatas! Banjo is so ugly and blocky he could fit in a psp game. Gone are the cute characters. Replaced with these things. It didnt help we had to make cars.

Crackdown 2

Assassin's Creed Unity

7. Assassin's Creed Unity

The glitches are nightmare enducing

Mario Kart Wii

8. Mario Kart Wii

It is debatable whether a Wii game looks better than a gamecube one. Fans will ask "Who cares?!" But Mario Kart Wii is uglier than Double Dash in that it will never be as good as Double Dash nor will any game be. Mario Kart Wii is just a blurry blocky mess with orange lighting and bloom. A far cry from the colorful gamecube worlds. But it was fun and the frame rate was solid.

Mario Kart World

9. Mario Kart World

Mario Kart world has so much more polygons but so little soul. The tracks are so large and empty it leaves a lot to be desired. 8 felt believable. Hell even 7.

Mortal Kombat 4

10. Mortal Kombat 4

Imagine being in a series that was so real it hurt. Well now it hurts your eyes. We have 15 dummies with airbrushed textures and the worst animations in fighting games. It doesnt help it was ported from arcade to n64 looking so damn dated and lifeless.
