@genessee: I really like what SFV did to... well, not every character, but for sure what they did to some of the Alpha characters. Birdie, Sakura, Karin and Cody look much better and all had some story development. Mika and Birdie are straight up playable and fun now, too.
I love me some Lisa Lisa! But Lisa Lisa just looks like a cool chick. Rose looks bananas.
G turned out to be a pretty fantastic character judging by day 1 videos. He has a ton of utility and is very strong. I thought I would hate him but he's been great so far.
Y'all thinking they were gonna like G are in for a rude awakening. I dig him, though. When they originally revealed his face I thought he looked pretty bad, but he turned out to be a really lively character. All of his poses, his delusional speeches, his oddball behavior... he's a real eccentric, larger than life dude, and I like that a lot. He's bizarre and baffling, and nobody in-game or IRL can tell if he's an idiot or if he's secretly doing some shady shit for the Illuminati or whoever.
I wish I could get some elaboration from Jeff on what he feels like is the core of what Street Fighter is and should be, but I'm not sure it that's reasonable. It seems like it's just a feeling of "this is too weird" in regards to certain characters, SF3 characters before and SFV characters now, and it can be hard to nail down what exactly your preferences entail. But all new SFV characters are bad? I can recognize not everyone out of FANG, Laura, Rashid, Necalli, Kolin, Zeku, Ed, Falke, Abigail, Menat or G are bangers, but you'd think anyone could like some of them.
It's the kinda topic that seems ripe for a JAR, at least.
Personally I used to have Street Fighter characters I couldn't stand the look of, like Sakura, Birdie, Rose or Karin, but I've mellowed out on most the characters I hate. Rose's whole design still annoys me.

I'm on another page from a lot of people here, I notice. The Citadel part was one of the most boring parts of Mass Effect to me. ME1's lore is spectacular, it's a very solidly built world that they do cool things with in the endgame. But the way they impart that lore? Literal encyclopedia entries and characters straight up telling you about their entire race's history, customs, personalities, hobbies and feelings. It's the opposite of having that stuff reveal itself slowly and succinctly from the way the plot proceeds or characters interact. It's incredibly dry. Combine that with the presentation during dialogue - two characters straight up standing still and talking to one another, while a third one occasionally might chime in, and also with the setting, which is largely a bunch of military types, diplomats and politicians. It wasn't exactly riveting.

On another note, Jason, you've always got that shoryuken! If you launch a guy(say you charge that charge punch up to maximum on a stunned dude for instance), you hold back and press triangle and Gene is gonna shoryuken him. If you hold forward and press triangle, Gene does a kick that launches him forward.
I love that you're playing God Hand, but two weeks between each stage stage is a bit much. Three months is a long time for a ten-hour game, even if you're dishing out some great, long episodes. I gotta cream up that boy every week!
(I like coffee, but it's with a similar caveat: I have to pour a bunch of chocolate powder and milk in it to sweeten the deal)
