"Umm.... They all have been in this gaming industry for a while especially Jeff(more than a decade) and were in a huge gaming publication of which I will not name of.This is a little off topic, but what exactly are the GB guys educational achievements?
And also, I thought it was a little weird how strongly they were pushing the notion that you need a college degree to get into the game press. If you can write, you can write. No offense to the guys who run this site, but what exactly do they do that requires higher education? I'd say being genuinely funny, having an outgoing personality and good in front of a camera/microphone is 100x more vital to succeeding as a game journalist now. I guess the job may require some college level english for grammar/copy editing purposes, but it's not that uncommon to write at a college level while in high school.
"
How is that weird? It applies to ALL jobs, you first need a degree/diploma. You can't just expect people to offer a job to you if you don't have a degree in journalism. I think you have a wrong perception of what you need to do before going into this type of industry. Also how is it 100x more vital to succeed as a game journalist if you have an outgoing personality or good in front of a camera?
Trust me, there is more to it than just knowing how to write about games and being funny doesn't fit in this category.
