If anyone decides to play this themselves, I would highly recommend looking through the in-game options to speed up the VO. At it's base speed, every conversation in this game has that strange lag between sentences that is so common in this medium. While increasing it to it's maximum doesn't make it as fast as say, Oxenfree, it does make every cutscene in this game infinitely more tolerable.
The chronological ordering is good, but maybe don't separate by difficulty? Good read otherwise, ZP.
Can't speak for 5 still (put it out on PC, dammit!), but I really liked 4's campaign. I had issues with some broader aspects of the multiplayer, but it was still running on fumes from Reach, and was quite good as a result.
I think you're dead-on about Infinite's MP being an attempt on 343's to get "back to basics", though. I just don't think it's a good idea! Reach MP was such a phenomenal culmination of Bungie's various ideas, and while I appreciate that 343 wants to put their own stamp on the franchise, it's hard to get excited about it when I feel like a previous game already found the best possible version of this series' multiplayer.
Luckily, a "back to basics" Halo MP is still a good time.
Enjoyed this quite a bit. Not really what I've come to GB for in the past, but what the sites offering going forward is just going to be...different. They've stressed that to us, and I'm okay with it. I've enjoyed most of the new shows thus far, and this is a real good addition.
Looking forward to more of these.
Also, real weird to see one of the actresses from Killing Eve in the mario movie in some of those clips.
I played Assault Suit Valken for the first time last year and had a blast with it; led me down a rabbit hole of other side-scrolling mech action games from roughly the same time (Metal Warriors, Front Mission: Gun Hazard etc), but I never played this one. Maybe I should get around to it.

This continues to be a great show! I really appreciate the variety of topics and the general brevity of this feature. I think it could probably benefit from the sort of on-the-fly video production work that Jan does on the Bombcast with topic-relevant footage etc, but this on it's own is real good. Hope it becomes a reliable staple on GB for however long you're down to do it, Grubb.
If they want to make a big Drizzit game, they should just adapt the first book. They could flesh out his time at the academy for more gameplay sections, and what with all the house intrigue and Drizzits issues with drow society, there would be plenty of good story beats to work through.
