I wish they'd stop enforcing street dates, I'm always forced to buy games days or weeks after everyone else because all my local retailers follow street dates. Only hurts in cases of piracy too, retailers will have copies of games, pirates will get a leaked retail copy a week or more earlier (Doom 3 PC case was especially aggravating to me). Street dates = fucking dumb. Lucky about the Amazon shipping. Amazon can be really prompt sometimes but other times they can take weeks after launch dates.
I hear some people got their RE5 360 bundles from Gamestop today too, so maybe the bundles aren't dated? Oops missed the sticker. Either way Gamestop is ignoring the 360 bundle stickers, but just shipped my copy of RE5 alone today.
Awesome, I love the color but would probably rather just keep my black 360. I think it is a bit more slick but hey this is looks WAY better than that stupid Halo 360.
I found it funny when I got my copy of Gears 2 a day early from Amazon and on the side of the protective wrap it said, "do not sale before (date)," and it was the day earlier.
You had a 360 before, right? Did you just decide to get another one?
When Lich King dropped I knew people who ordered it through Amazon and they didn't get their copies for a couple of days after street date. I guess it depends on the game or Amazon took a lot of heat from the WOW community over the delays and made changes that resulted in the above. I think street dates are important to control supply and mediate availability, but I'd never gripe about getting something early or on time for that matter. The only time its okay to complain is when it's late or if you've reserved a copy (I'm looking at you Gamestop!) and they've (a) sold your copy, (b) lost your proof of pre-order, or (c) had a problem with UPS and won't get it in until the following day.
