Hello fellow gamers and especially fellow collectors. I've done my fair share of browsing on this site and I have to say I really enjoy blogs detailing monthly/weekly/daily/random purchases. As such I've decided to start my own weekly overview. I've certainly shown plenty of items in the past, but this is the official kickoff of the (hopefully) weekly series. Feel free to mock/compliment/ignore the quality of my purchases, spending habits, etc. Or if you're feeling really helpful, give me recommendations on what related products I should consider purchasing. Basically, say whatever you want. Also, since this is the first of many, the format will likely change. Please give me suggestions regarding layout, especially if you feel like it's hard to read, or there is some more information you'd like to know (prices, quality of product, etc.).

@Pierce: Unfortunately, I lack the capacity to do so.  I can say that this stuff was purchased over a much longer time frame than one week, hence the "bonus games."  And even more unfortunately, I have almost no time on my hands right now.  I'm just a collector with bad spending habits. :)

@everyone else.  I've seen a bit of Dexter and I can't wait to really delve into the series.

I used to do a ton of "new purchases" blogs back on GS, but now that I've run into money issues, my spending on anything special has basically ceased. I did give in and buy the first three seasons of Stargate Atlantis on Monday however, as I saved $60 overall on the three (on sale at Best Buy this week), and I had been longing for them for ...well ...longer than I can really remember. But yeah, it's always nice to see what other people buy - especially nice to see the clearance sticker from Target too - they rock for clearance electronics.

@Brandy: Yeah, I know what you mean.  Sometimes those sales are like tractor beams.  I usually refuse to buy anything at MSRP, so I somehow justify my purchases as "saving money" on something I will probably buy in the future anyways.  It's really a vicious cycle. :)
