Watched Inside Job, Casino Jack and the United States of Money, and The Corporation all in the past 3 or 4 months so yeah, of course I'm depressed. Obama dropped the ball after the crash, not sure we'll ever extricate ourselves from the oligarchy.
Me, I put off signing up for GiantBomb way too long, ANYone that loves games should be on here daily. For now I'm a professional videographer/editor, but writing is where I collide most often with gaming - Gamasutra, TrueAchievements, or either of my own blogs - AchievementBeard, BeyondTheBeard.
Going to be moving a number of things from various avenues of existence over here to the bed-poopingly comprehensive splendor of GiantBomb! Already managed to transfer my Beatles Rockband Guide from A360P (may she rest/continue living in peace), and should be doing so with my far more paltry pieces as time goes on.
The Mrs. was never as much of a gamer so we had "the talk" pretty early on (when I admittedly got carried away with gaming), so when the kids came along my habits were pretty squared up: I game after she goes to sleep at night for sure, and only during the day if it's a weekend or special occasion, which usually just means she and/or kids are occupied elsewhere. If either wants my attention then they win, hands down (well, after the checkpoint, of course!). I know what you mean about boosting though, but I attribute it more to me just reluctant to do so unless I'm guaranteed doing it with friends - and now you know why I'm always pitching games to boost to you! The end.
