Favourite CO-OP FPS games
These are the First Person shooters I enjoy playing coop on. You'll find most of them have the same game play as just simple fast FPS games but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with that.

Have spent more than 100 hours and still not even close to an S rank. Other than nearly impossible but still seaming reachable achievements this game is great. An excellent wave based mode that is playable with up to 6 people. Also the Class and level up system i think works really well. They kept it simple and I love that. The soundtrack is kinda annoying but i made some modifications to have my own music playing. Being made on the unreal 2.5 engine does draw some setbacks but this is from what I've seen the best looking Unreal 2.5 engine game out there. Only drawbacks are the limited number of maximum people. But other than that, the game play gets so intense that this is one of those games you need to take breaks in between games just to take a breath.

I mostly play the Zdaemon mod that allows 32 player coop. It's doom not much other to say besides that. Get a voice chat going with some friends, join a server that has a seemingly endless number of maps, and just enjoy. No leader boards, no arguing, infinite respawns and ammo, all fun.

The second encounter is by comparison better I believe. more weapons and COLLAPSING FLOORS. done.

Same concept of doom. Just HD graphics and crazy enemies. I love the idea of how unfair this game is. Since most of the time running after a health item leaves you worse off on a count of it mostly spawned some huge mechawalker or 4 armed plasma spitting demon. This game leaves you hating the people that made it. But strangely anticipating what more they have.

Spec Ops mode. Nothing beats steathfully taking out two guards by having you and your buddy jump up behind them and knife them at the same time. Or having your friend take out infantry on the streets while your in a chopper pumping lead into the opposing force. I just wish there were more scenarios because this is my favorite part of MW2. Heres to Spec Op DLC in the future.

4 people. A BAZILLION GUNS. A little janky on PC but its able to get past. If you find the right people and right classes for you this can be an enjoyable game. Just might be too easy once you start finding really good guns. A game i played mostly alone due to no one having this game until recently. The difficulty dramatically drops the later the game gets. Which is really depressing however finding guns in really exciting and you will most likely not find the same one twice.

This is on here mostly because of the doom 1 remakes. But also single player transfered over to coop quite nicely.

Online Coop and multipliers for higher difficulties is the right way to go. A good amount of time was spent in halo 3's campaign. Plus rocket race. nothing to do with co-op. but dude. ROCKET RACE!
