I doubt this has been posted on the fourms and since this anime is one of my favorites(and arguably one of th best) I thought Ill share it with everyone. More information can be found HERE.
The series follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma (天馬 賢三 Tenma Kenzo) as he pursues a young psychopath/sociopath named Johan, whose life Tenma once saved. The story rapidly progresses through a number of locations: it starts in Düsseldorf, Germany, passes through Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Wiesbaden, cities in the Czech Republic such as Prague, and other cities and villages.
This anime is only for the dedicated since it spans about 70 episodes. Each episode however comes packed with mystery, action, drama, and even the needed, but occasional joke or two. For those who have seen it, what did you think? FOr those who have, does this sound interesting enough to watch.
On a side note, I was thinking about creating a new thread, or just making it one big thread giving out anime recommendations. Has that been done before? Would anyone actually benefit from it? Leave your thoughts please.
On a separate side note, its 1:30 am here and Im pretty bored, if ya couldnt tell!
"Lol I KNEW you were going to post that. Do you need to watch the series to understand all that giant robot teenage boy mumbo-jumbo, or is there a stand alone story with it?"
You have to watch the series. And of course i'm going to post it, it's my favorite movie of all time. "
Someone has similar anime tastes to me. Evangelion (especially EoE with its, well, fucked up ending sequence) are great! Man it freaked me out the first time I saw that movie. If you watch all 26 episodes of the series and then watch this movie, it might change the way you think about anime.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was pretty good, but thats for more "experienced' anime watchers. I dont think the word "experience" was the right one, but that movie might not be what you wanna start off with. I would recommend something more action-oriented since those are the anime that get people hooked.

"Alrighty, big list that isn't terribly mainstream, minus the Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki stuff. Here we go:
-The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
-Millennium Actress
-5 Centimeters Per Second
-Voices of a Distant Star
-Howl's Moving Castle
-My Neighbor Totoro
-Whisper of the Heart
-Paprika
Ta-daaaaa.
"
Great list! I havent even seen all the movies on this list mainly because I havent downloaded them yet! Would the Topic-Creator be willing to watch anime series aswell or just movies?
I figured the hardest parts would be the waves of enemies. I absolutely hated those parts playing on Normal. But then again I loved the challenge of it. So yea, me and the Killzone waves have a sorta hate/love relationship. Radec on the other hand, is complete BS. If you dont have a flame thrower guy coming at you, you have a random rocket that killed you. Did you notice that they always aim for the way behind you and never at you? I dont remember being directly hit by a rocket ever. I would see the rocket, dodge(so I thought) and then die when it exploded on the wall that I didnt know was behind me.
Killzone does have alot of debris in the enviroment. It seems to be a wall, piece of metal, or something hindering your movement. Its awesome that they put that much detail in, but it gets annoying when your almost dead and running for your life. Not to mention the screen gets grey so you cant see. Ill be running around in circles and not even know it! LOL. Talking about this is making wanna play KZ2! Argh!
LOL....and what are you playing, Call of Duty? AHAHAHA!
I havent beat the game on hard yet. I dont even wanna think about elite right now. But sometime in the future, Ill run through the game on elite. And thats when Ill be a MASTA!
"
whats wrong with call of duty......
god i hate fanboys.....
"
You call me a fanboy yet the person I quoted came into the Killzone 2 board and posted a completely negative comment on the game without giving any insight on the topic at hand. Im no fanboy but I reserve the right to tear a troll a new one. And thats whay I did thank you very much. Same goes for you, thanks for your contributions to the thread!

"I don't know if you read a different thread but nobody here said their CONFERENCE was good, just that the SHOW was good overall because there were many good Wii games shown, including MadWorld and De Blob among others. E3 isn't just about the keynote speeches you know. And they did make it up with the Nintendo Media Summit later on anyway."
The games they showed period(and during their CONFERENCE) were horrible sir...I read the thread and I stand corrected. I dont get why u people get so worked up on these forums. Chiiiilllllllll.....
I cant believe some of you believe Nintendo had a good conference last year. Are you high!? They had the worst conference and announced some of the worst games in recent E3 history. Ima leave before I start a flame war....
I do hope that Nintendo announces some surprise game that will get me pumped up for when I get my Wii. Elaborating and announcing some good DSi-ware games would be nice too.
Correct me if Im wrong but didnt you void the warranty by opening the console up. So now you cant send it to Sony without paying some sort of fee. Its risky business opening up a console without prior experience. I doubt you had any since you needed YouTube videos for help. I do agree that its cool doing stuff like that and I wish I could open my PS3 up, but not at the cost of my warranty. Especially since I had my firs PS3 (Im currently on number 2) die after the first 3 days after purchase!
