How are you "good at games?"

With the time that I've spent on, I'm constantly reminded of how Bradley Handsome Shoemaker III "sucks at video games." Well then, how do you be good? By not dying? Everybody has died at least once in a video game and you know what? Sometimes it's a learning experience, sometimes it's hilarious, and sometimes it can lead to frustrating events. But, because you made a mistake, you actually gained something from it - hopefully. Does it still mean you suck at video games?
