Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (2018) has an odd charm to it thanks to the exceedingly unintelligible Captain Toad himself. 👍

are hilarious. Just reading through them now absolutely shames my writing prowess, not that I'm that great of a writer, but I enjoy reveling in the idea that I am from time to time. Being a kid was pretty damn fun back in the day. And finishing over 10 games within two months? Jesus Christ, I'm lucky if I could regularly finish 10 games in a year now.

I'm Lagging

Lately, I've been down in the dumps due to my ever-present laziness that plagues me. I've just gotten a new wireless Logitech XBOX controller that I actually like and got at an extremely low price whereas it sells for about $40 in the stores while I got it online for a mere $20. Other wireless controllers I've used, with the exception of the XBOX 360's, sucked major ass.

For no apparent reason, my extremely manly capabilities of conquering weak games have been put on hold, hopefully it's just temporary. As of this moment, I have Hitman: Blood Money and Spider-Man 2 on my shelf waiting to get passed. But, at the moment I'm stuck on a certain part in both games. Especially, in Spider-Man 2 where I'm supposed to destroy these damn orb things. Bastards. And with Hitman, it's a different story, I just don't like it.

Winter Vacation

From December 15, 2006 - January 7, 2007:

Now that I have enough time to play my games, especially these MMORPGs that I have, I have set up a few goals for them and are listed below:

Guild Wars - Reach level 20 (level 15), pass more than half of the Prophecies missions (6/25); Bonus: Purchase Factions and Nightfall expansions.
Silkroad Online - Somehow reach level 45 (level 42), if possible. Along the way I will attempt to get around 7000 sp (3700 sp)
World of Warcraft - Reach level 40 (level 34) and get mount.

I will not complete these in the order listed above, but will when I have interest in doing so.

Update 12/30/06: Well, it seems I will put these goals on hold as I had received an Xbox 360 for Christmas. Currently, I am playing Saints Row and Call of Duty 3.

Update 01/15/07 (really should've been 01/07/07, but it doesn't really matter as I hadn't really done much):

Guild Wars - Reach level 20 (level 15), pass more than half of the Prophecies missions (7/25); Bonus: Purchase Factions and Nightfall expansions.
RESULT: INCOMPLETE
Silkroad Online - Somehow reach level 45 (level 42), if possible. Along the way I will attempt to get around 7000 sp (3700 sp).
RESULT: INCOMPLETE
World of Warcraft - Reach level 40 (level 35) and get mount.
RESULT: INCOMPLETE

Final note: Well, looks like the Xbox 360 is an adequate piece of machinery specially manufactured to waste my time. Thank you.

Afterburner

From June 1, 2007 - September 10, 2007:

Currently, the MMORPG genre is no more as I've taken an obsessive liking to Microsoft's XBOX 360. It has become almost a part of my life ever since I've received it as a present from my parents as I've always powered it up either to check out some flicks off the Marketplace or to play a quick game (of anything really, I never stick toany game very well). Now almost a year later, my 360 has been joined by the likes of Gears of War early in the year, then, eventually, the game I've been longing for even before I had my 360, Dead Rising. These two combined have taken numerous amounts of hours of my life, especially Dead Rising, and I couldn't be any happier.

Now my 360 is joined by the awesomeness of Bioshock (there were other games purchased between Dead Rising and Bioshock, but Bioshock is a game worth bragging about). As I am someone who enjoys the great art direction of games and especially games whose origins come from deep within the depths of man's mind Bioshock has easily become a game of which I play casuallyjust togander upon as I play and progress through the game with gaping awe in response to it's immersive world that begs me to keep asking questions of dystopian world.

On a more personal note, I've graduated high school and am waiting for my first few days of college to begin. Sure hope I can still game on this quality machine of mine.

I don't know how I stumbled upon these... but I too have gone back and read my GameSpot blog posts and thought the same exact things, haha. Maybe I should post some of them too...
