@vinny: Apologies Vinny, its at 8 minutes 11seconds, its like the gain goes up a couple notches.

It drew my attention because you suddenly hear a lot more of the upper end of the Sam-Eliot-alike and the road noise becomes sharper.

@sto_ln: you remember it correctly. It has two major towns, both on the east side within an hour of each other. And then you have an additional 6.5 hours at 80mph of corn, corn, and more corn. Its so middle-of-nowhere that the billboards actually stop for long stretches and you have to watch how much gas you have between stations. Its an absolute wasteland. I drive across it a couple times a year and that Kansas stretch is probably the worst bit of driving I will ever do.
