Hated by most, still, one of the best RPGs where you could actually role play. You could slip into your own personality and not feel like a total nerd while doing it. LEG10N, Somnus Fraternitus, and The Collective for life.

Golden Crotchless David Bowie fighting an underground war against an Internet Cyber Demon. Only game where killing yourself solved most of the puzzles. Didn't make any sense, but loved it none the less.

Very close to taking the reins of "Best. RPG. Ever." away from Skies and Grandia II.
