I love the Dark Souls series, but this game is great. It's a much more polished and faster game than any of the dark souls games ever were. It's Dark Souls, but sped up in combat with the addition of skills/stances + diablo loot drops.

In my book that doesn't equal a better game. I mean sure if you are into fast combat in the first place thats a given. I personally like the slow and methodically nature of Souls, and what makes those games great is that you actually feel your character. They actually have some weight, and each swing of a weapon you can really feel the power and a nice feedback on impact. I dont get that in Nioh. Feels more floaty and weapons lack the same oomph as most Souls weapons have.

But thats just my opinion.

I also enjoy the methodical nature of the dark souls games. The slow heavy hitting weapons just feel good when you're on point. But after 3 entries(4 if you include demon souls), I'm kind of looking for something different, but similar enough. Nioh really fits that. Add in all the extra stuff(skill trees/customization/DIABLO LOOT) that I enjoy, and it's been a fun ass game.

That game sure disappeared quickly.

You think so? Single player games kind of do that, but this game still had a lot of coverage and was well received by quite a lot of people. At the least, it didn't disappear as fast as Titanfall 1 & 2, and those had major multiplayer aspects to it.

If we're involving boss battle themes, then this one from ffxv is fucking great.

Collecting characters seems unnecessary, the combat and maps seem dumbed down more than necessary, and the unskippable dialogue is UNBEARABLE.

Isn't there a big fat skip button on the top right when there's a story dialogue?

I like mobages and this one's easy to play on a train without thinking about it too much so enjoying it.

So far, this one seems way too easy. Except for unlocking the potential for 4-5* units.

If you're okay with a game not focusing on a single character as its main character, then go with VI. You play that game as separate characters to move its story along. If you want a game that strongly focuses on a single character, then go with the other popular listed FF games people have mentioned here.

@jaycrockett:That's good that you can clear the content so far, it just becomes really tough in Lunatic mode. Just one mistake and my 5/4* units die in 1 hit. Also wish I could be like you and keep those gems. I always get the urge to spend them whenever I have 20+. Just my gambling addiction kicking in I guess.

@slag: Gacha doesn't seem so bad in this game, mind you I've only tried two other gacha games and one of them is really bad. It costs 5gems to do a single summon, but if you were to do a 5x group summon, you'll only need to use 20 gems, saving you a total of 5 . I also saw somewhere that each time you do a 5x group summon and you do not get a 5* unit, the chances of your next summon being a 5* unit increases by 0.1%. Pretty low percentage increase, but better than nothing.

@dystopiax: Go to friends list and hit the big green Greet button.
