It remains to be seen if even Blu-Ray will last all that long. I still think DVD will own for many many more years. most people are cool with there up converting DVD players.
Lets look at this with logic. Sony electronic sales are in the toilet. And the PS3 sales are worst then this time last year and getting worse by the week. And this is even with Sony's big games out and not helping.
Not to mention the big dog of Sony was supposed to be Killzone 2 it has failed to even sell more then a million copies in the US to date.
What really might or could happen is the PS3 may gimp across the finish line after this gen in last place if Sony is lucky. The real concern for Sony should be they have suffered so much damage and loss of consumer grasp for there game systems that the PS4 could be vapor ware or be an impending Atari Jaguar waiting to happen.
I think what will most likely happen is the PS4 Atari Jaugar comparison is most likely.
