I had a real struggle getting through this one and I think a lot of it was just the writing style or the translation. Just felt super stiff almost all the way through.
@rorie: You know, I meant to go back and try that new mode they added to Returnal, but never did. Is that the bit that's been doing it for you? Or have you just been returning to the standard mode?
EDIT: Also, you should have been in the staff deliberations to champion RL2! ;-D
I played a bunch of the standard mode but I've also gotten to the "top" of the infinite tower. There are some interesting story beats in there!
@atheistpreacher: Same for me! I logged 125 hours in Rogue Legacy 2, all from 2022 - and I haven't even gone back to it since July. (I plan to.) I think I played through the game through New Game 10+ or so? What a terrific experience - easily a top 5 for me.
One of my favorite games of last year! Returnal's really been hitting the same notes for me lately.
I liked DS2 a bunch! But I played it on PC and for some reason they added all the DLC weapons to your inventory right near the beginning of the game. Made it real easy! Good review!
