While I think some people are over reacting to hating or loving Too Human (check one of my recent blogs) I think it's a good game personally. But I can understand where the varying opinions are coming from. It's not a game for everyone for sure. I like it because of the story's quality and how cool the combat looks (the controls are a different matter). However, it's very easy to see why some people would be left cold by this game. That's where the beauty of this comes in. You don't have to buy it or even play it if you don't like it and you can find out if you like it through the demo on Xbox Live.
Alright so as the end of August approaches that means two things. One is the start of school once again (a senior in high school this year!) and the other is the start of the biggest video game releases of the year. In that spirit, I present to you my current wishlist for the fall and winter of this year. I will follow this up with my entire game collection in the first half of next week. Also, I should note that I won't have downloadable games on this wishlist because you never really know when they are coming out.
Mercenaries 2 - 8/31 Rock Band 2 - 9/14 Star Wars: Force Unleashed - 9/16 Fable 2 - 10/21 Guitar Hero World Tour - 10/26 Fallout 3 - 10/28 Left 4 Dead - 11/4 Mirror's Edge - 11/11 Call of Duty World at War - 11/11 Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts - 11/14 Tomb Raider Underworld - 11/18
de Blob - 9/22 Animal Crossing City Folk - 11/3
Spore - 9/7
There are several other titles that I am interested in such as the new Need for Speed and Viva Pinata 2, but these are the games that I have to buy, or at the very least, play by the end of this year. Everything else is optional. Like I said before, check back sometime early next week to see my collection summary blog.
An IGN Poll Result. Click to expand. Ok, so people have been hating on this game WAY too much. Just look at this will you? This is utterly idiotic. People may dislike the game, but as I said in the picture there, there is no way that this could possibly deserve a 1/10. Nor could it deserve a 10/10. No game is perfect, especially not this game. It's an average game that some people will enjoy and some will not. I happen to enjoy it, but that's just me. I would give it a 7/10. My only hope in all of this is that the largest amount of the vote went to the 7/10 average score, but the fact that over 20% of people that voted on IGN said that Too Human deserves a 1/10 gives me no hope for the maturity of gamers. If we are going to be so petty as to give a game a 1/10 for pure spite and fanboyism, then we can't possibly ask for the average person to treat the gaming industry with respect. 1 Comments
Ok, so I just posted two reviews, one of the first episode of the Strong Bad game and the other of Civilization Revolution. It may seem suspiciously fast to type such in depth reviews within 5 minutes of each other and I will admit, I didn't write them for the first time here. They are actually reviews I posted on dailygamerblog.com that I just brought over to here. That's why they have all of the formatting and images and are considerably longer than most of the user reviews here. So yeah, check those out if you are interested.
I have been listening to the Giant Bomb podcast for a while now so I finally decided to join up on this site because it's simply so awesome. The idea of having a site that's pretty much wikipedia for gamers is sweet. So yes, it was inevitable that I would eventually find my way to signing up here. I don't blog on sites like this a ton but I am a writer for dailygamerblog.com. Hopefully I can help out with some info here and have some fun.
