Got into Fortnite super late but they actively try and give new players wins by starting out matching them with bots and slowly introducing other human players. I won about 10 out of my first 25 games. Honestly it did a good job getting me hooked on the game.
Same thing when pubg mobile came out. Everyone was bragging that they won their first game until people pointed out it was bots.
It was the exact opposite for me. I work at a grocery store, so when all the restaurants basically shut down everyone went to the store instead. (Or ordered for pickup.) Other peoples' lockdown became 70 hour work weeks for me, so what little time I have is all games.
PS fuck everyone that grocery shops without a mask. Employees have families too.
