@marino: FWIW I'm on Safari and they weren't loading until I disabled 1Blocker's Annoyances extension. No clue why it thinks SoundCloud is an annoyance, but that's definitely the one that was causing issues.

Same goes for a lot of the images on this site as well, actually. No clue if the extension is simply way too aggressive or if there's something funky going on with how they're coded here.

I'll admit, I haven't watched that much new era GB. But this has been a blast so far. That said...

@av_gamer: The first I heard it would be full price was from seeing the graphic in this quick look and my whole face scrunched up like Max Payne. Like, it looks better, but certainly not seventy dollars better.

Logging in for the first time in ages to voice support for super short videos.

The creep in video length over the years made it really hard to keep up with GB even as a diehard fan. I used to watch everything but then every video became 1-3 hours and I couldn't do it anymore. If this Quick Look had been 50 minutes for instance, I wouldn't have watched it or learned about Frogun. But it being super short felt like "hell yeah, I'll watch that." And Frogun looks really cool so I'm glad I did! Keep it up!

@c_toc: It's his high energy and enthusiasm. Ryan Davis and Vinny were the same.

The cynicism here is just... boring. Listening to them complain about every release while they're each literally quarantined inside their homes is ridiculous. We've all had to stretch our patience a bit the last year—including with Giant Bomb—for completely understandable reasons.

Most of those games looked super fun to me and like excellent stopgaps while normal development ramps back up. A ton of those games most people will have never played, and at least with stuff like Advance Wars they did the work to rebuild it rather than just dumping a ROM on the eShop and selling it for $10.

Chill tf out and start actually having some compassion for how much harder game development is. Y'all think it's harder being a game journalist? Yeah, it is. Now magnify that tenfold for lots of other professions, including development.
